I've just got a pair of X103 glasses, to use with my Panasonic P50UT50B, and it's not working.

It's specified as "For use with Panasonic TVs", so I don't think i've got the wrong model.

It has one button that you push once, and a led lights up. To switch off you push again and the led blinks and vanishes. The glasses also get dark for a second when you switch it off, so there seems to be some kind of shutter working.

But the active shuttering mechanism seems not to switch on as it should.

The instructions warns about no facing a light or a bright window, so I darked everything down: no results.

Unfortunately I am not in the USA, so it would be difficult and expensive to send it back.

Can anyone think on what might be happening and what I should do?

It looks like you need the RF dongle for your glasses:
http://www.xpand.me/products/youniversal-3d-glasses/list-of-compatible-devices/

Notice that if you select "XPAND YOUniversals + RF Dongle" one of the models listed is the Panasonic TC-P50UT50.

Now go back and only select the glasses (XPAND Universal 3D Glasses) - your TV is no longer listed.

So, sounds to me like you need to purchase this:
http://www.xpand.me/shop/xpand-rf-dongle/xpand-rf-dongle-single-packaging/

Sorry! I'd call the company and talk to tech support before buying anything else.

Yes, you're right. In the meantime since I started this thread I could find out a bit more.

The X103 seems to be an infrared (IR) type, and the my Panasonic seems to use Bluetooth (RF) interface to switch the 3D glasses on.

It's a pity nobody provided that information, particularly the eBay guys that are selling the X103.
