"VIZIO is committed to providing advanced technology to consumers at a value. We understand the importance of value and it doesn't stop at the price, consumers deserve performance, style, and great prices," says Laynie Newsome, VIZIO Co-Founder and VP Sales and Marketing Communications.

55" XVT 120Hz, 1080p LCD HDTV

VIZIO gets in the game with the new 55" XVT Series 120Hz (model VF550XVT1A), 1080p LCD HDTV featuring Smooth Motion Video(TM) Technology, which delivers flawless video frame after frame. As the Official HDTV of pro football player LaDainian Tomlinson, the newest XVT model delivers high performance with 50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 9 total High Definition Inputs, and the latest in audio technology from SRS Labs.

The faster refresh rate of 120Hz is twice the speed of other LCDs (60Hz), VIZIO's Smooth Motion Video(TM) Technology eliminates motion blur from fast- action movie scenes. VIZIO's advanced noise reduction removes noise and artifacts caused by signal compression from cable and satellite providers. This latest XVT model displays 1.7 billion colors using a 10-bit data input panel, with a super fast 5ms response time. The VF550XVT1A is also equipped with an advanced polarizer for less reflectivity, it meets the Energy Star 3.0 criteria, and in Home Mode actually achieves an additional 15% savings making it extremely eco-friendly.

The unit is outfitted with 9 total High Definition Inputs, that include five HDMI inputs. It also includes VIZIO's HD Game Port(TM) with HD Inputs conveniently located on the side of the TV for fast connection of camcorders and game consoles. The rear panel also provides component, composite, S-video and VGA connections along with digital and analog audio jacks. VIZIO has also incorporated SRS TruSurround HD(TM) for a more immersive home theater experience and TruVolume(TM) technology that eliminates unwanted volume spikes when you channel surf and watch television commercials. The VIZIO 55" VXT LCD HDTV will be available in January 2009, selling for an MSRP of only $1999.99.

NEW High Performance HD Sound Bar and Wireless Subwoofer

VIZIO's new Sound bar and Wireless Subwoofer (model VSB210WS) delivers a high performance surround sound experience without the mess or clutter of multiple speakers. The VSB210WS uses four 3" high efficiency mid/bass drivers and a single 1" high performance aluminum dome neodymium tweeter for each channel. With a total harmonic distortion of less than .01%, the VSB210WS features SRS TruSurround(TM) for immersive surround sound and is one of the first products to utilize SRS Labs' TruVolume(TM), which prevents extreme volume fluctuations when changing channels or watching commercials. With its elegant piano black finish and subtle chrome accents VIZIO has designed one of the world's most stylish Sound Bar and Wireless Subwoofer solutions on the market today. The VSB210WS comes equipped with a hybrid table top stand and wall mount bracket providing consumers the ultimate installation flexibility.

The advanced 2.4GHz Wireless Subwoofer is outfitted with a long throw 6.5" woofer providing bass response that extends from 35Hz up to 80Hz. The Auto Sync function ensures the subwoofer connects wirelessly to the Sound Bar for convenient plug and play operation. Only a single cable is required to connect the VSB210WS to any flat panel TV.

The VIZIO VSB210WS Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer will be available in January 2009, selling for an MSRP of $349.99.

NEW Small Screen LCD HDTVs Just in Time for Holidays and Digital Transition: VA19, VA22LF, and VA26 LCD HDTV

Committed to great style, quality, and value, VIZIO releases three new models (VA19, VA22, and VA26) in smaller widescreen (16x9) sizes and featuring a bold, new industrial design. The VA22 (22") is VIZIO's smallest Full HD 1080p LCD TV and features a 5000:1 contrast ratio for exceptional black and rich colors. All models incorporate VIZIO's advanced polarizer for less reflectivity and meet the latest Energy Star version 3.0 standards, to ensure these models consume significantly less power during operation.

All three models will be available NOW and sell for the following MSRP:

Further demonstrating VIZIO's commitment to cutting edge styles, features, and performance, the VMM26, 26" Class 1080P FHD+ multimedia monitor is VIZIO's answer for the power user and avid gamer. The VMM26 model is 25.5" diagonal wide screen 16:9 aspect ratio, displays 16.7 million colors and provides 1920 x 1200 resolution for a Full HD+ experience with 2.3 Million pixels for both computer and external game machines that support the extended resolution.

The built-in stand is height adjustable and can guide easily up and down up to 4.3", the design also offers tilt functions 5 degrees forward and 20 degrees back along with a built in swivel stand for optimal viewing in large spaces. More details pls, such as any PC connection, any multi-media playable USB connections, etc. This VF550XVT1A will be my next LCDTV.

I have good customer service from Vizio for a missing remote control for a 42" Vizio LCDTV that I bought from Samsclub and I am waiting for the remote arrival.

Well the 50" VP505XVT plasma seems to be a hit! The VF550XVT1A should be the same. It looks like Vizio has found that quality control is key to maintaining a high quality image.

Wow... I was hoping to see a 52" around that price with 120hz from Vizio, this is impressive.

I have been totally thrilled with my GV42LF. But if this has 3+ HDMI inputs, RGB/1080p and comes in under $2,000 early next year, I may have to sell my 42" and upgrade.

I can not wait until January, this is exciting. I am currently going through problems with Samsung 56 inch DLP (loud color wheel noise on 2 sets now). I was thinking I had to settle for a 52in LCD but now I can afford 55 inches. Its still more than what I paid for the DLP but I'll take it. I had a 32in Vizio and never a problem with the set.

This has me now waiting until january to replace my 7 year old Sony rear projection.

Question :
Is the Sound bar required ?
Or another form of audio such as a receiver and speaker system.

This would replace my second TV which is located in a family room and I only use the TV speakers.

Wow! What will this sell for during the week before the superbowl?
I suspect Christmas sales will be very weak and there will be pretty
good deals in January.
I just put my 42" Vizio in the living room yesterday, to make room in my
den for a new 52" Sharp. I am VERY impressed with both TVs.
(GV42L and LC-C5255U)
My wife watched Law and Order on the new 52" in HDTV and commented
that it would be nice to have a bigger one for the living room.
I wonder if this Vizio will be just at Sears and Costco for the most part.

So no official date, but it advertises "get ready for the big game". So we can presume before the Super Bowl, maybe in January?

Here's hoping for a street price on the soundbar that is less than the Sony HTCT-100, for comparable quality. (Ie $250 max, preferably more like $230 and down.) That'd be really awesome.

I gave up on this TV already. I am so unimpressed with Vizio's lack of customer service before the sale I would have to deal with them if there was a problem. They do not answer emails and calling them is no better. Most companies have lack luster service but the fact that they are not courteous enough to answer questions to help make a sale is a deal breaker for me. I got an LG 52 inch. I was willing to give a new co a try and hated when I saw people bad mouth Vizio because they are the new kid on the block but after experiencing their poor service first hand I can see what people are talking about. They may answer an initial email but any follow up questions get ignored and their people who answer the phones are unimpressive and uninformed as well. They are also not very friendly...If you guys end up getting this TV you will be getting a good deal and I just hope you have no problems with it where you have to deal with Vizio..

What did you need service for?

I've bought three Vizio LCDs so far (two 26" and the VO37L) and I'm very pleased. Have had no reason to call or email them, the sets work like a champ.

I'm eyeing this 55-incher for my main display and came here to see the chatter.
