How much would you pay for a used HT-CT100? There is a guy on craigslist willing to go 155 on it?

I assume it has 3 hdmi hookups on it. You basically run three things to it and then one hdmi cable to the tv correct?

Thanks.

Amazon and WalMart have been selling the CT-150 "on and off" for under $200.00 and other deals like that can be found online as well, so I dont think your used price is that great since a new one can be had for only a few dollars more.

I would not offer more than $100 for a used CT-100. And that would be for a unit in perfrect condition with all manuals. Considering you can get a CT-150 for $50-$65 more than that new and from all accounts, the CT-150 has better dynamic range and voice, anything more than $100 sounds steep.

Yea, agreed,,, I only paid like $60.00 more for the CT-150 than the OP is stating for a used CT-100,,,, I didnt even think about that in my other post,,,,,,Oppps.

Hope the OP did not spend the 155.00 for the used one.

Cheers

NO I did not. I noticed that best buy sells the CT-100 for 299.99. I am really liking the CT350, becasue of the radio function, but at 400.00 bucks it is hard to purchase. I like the fact that is has HDMI input on it. I was thinking 100.00 as well for it. He is throwing in 2 hdmi cables as well, so I guess he is trying to make money off of those.

A couple of weeks ago the ct-150 was around 215-220 at Amazon, currently about 20 more than that. Since the ct-100 has been discontinued, it should be at a big discount. However, I see the ct-100 is more at Amazon than the ct-150.

HDMI cables should not add very much to the value. I have bought a number from Amazon. This was Amazon's brand of cable, but I paid either $9 or $10 for 9' cables. I always buy 9' because that gives me just enough to route the cables where they don't show without stressing the cable. Anything more than $15 for HDMI cables under 4 meters is probably a rip off.

Those poor little zeros and ones don't know what kind of cable they are going through.

Yea the guy will not budge on the price. I even said without the hdmi cables and he is dead stuck on 150.00. So I told him good luck.

Best buy has dropped their price from 299.99 to 199.99. I would defintely pick one up, but no stores really close by have one.

I found a "refurbished" model at a local Sear's for $122. I am really considering it although I have not seen it in person yet and don't know what qualifies as a refurbished product at Sear's. Maybe it's a floor model...who knows. Would anyone on here consider this a good deal?

Definitely a good deal if the unit has all parts and plays correctly. Sears should allow you to return if not in working order.

Refurbished can mean anything from a basic customer return to a unit that has been factory refurbished because of a defect. Typically a unit from the latter category would be at the top of the quality chain as the repair is like getting a hand built unit and the unit is typically tested before being returned to the food chain.

Well I called them and found out that's it's a display/floor model and only comes with the Sub and audio bar, no manual, no box and no remote. The remote doesn't bother me because I have a Harmony but would you pay $122 for a floor model?

As long as everything works, nothing wrong with a floor model. If anything, this means the speakers have a little break-in time which should make the unit sound smoother. However, if you hear anything suspicious, it means somebody probably aboused the unit at some time in the store. Make sure Sears will take it back after you have had four or five days to play with it.
