I'm looking to get a soundbar to replace my existing 4.1 setup in my LR. It takes up too much space, and I find that we really don't watch many movies, and the stuff we do watch doesn't really benefit from surround.
So, I'm looking to free up the space, and switch to a soundbar that will pretty much be used exclusively for gaming on my son's Xbox 360.
Based mostly on Davyo's reviews, I'm leaning toward the JVC, but am wondering if any of the current soundbar models in the sub $300 price range might provide a better experience for gaming as opposed to movie viewing?
For example, I've read a couple of reviews indicating that the Sonys might be a little weak in the midrange, and/or have problems with "surround" volume in games, which may be a problem for my needs.
