I'm moving to a smaller place and am trying to consolidate the home theater and computer into one setup. I have a Tanker Desk with a 27" monitor on an arm and want to put the YSP-2200 on the back of the desk.

Do you think it will sound good for music if I'm sitting at the desk (like 2 feet away)? Recliners will be six feet away so I'm just wondering whether it sounds like crap if you are sitting that close.

Does it matter if the table top is there? Would firing along the top of the desk screw up all the aiming capabilities?

The table top will cause reflections which will deteriorate your sound. A better solutin may be to mount the soundbar on the wall a little higher and aim it towards the listening area.
