Hello I am new to this forum. I have searched around and have not found the answers I am looking for so please forgive me if this has been covered.

Ok so my question is.. I just bought a vizio vht215 soundbar with wireless soundbar and I was wondering if anyone had good suggestions on what the best audio settings would be? Right now I have it set to..

Bass +5
Treble +5
Sub + 3

It sounds decent but I know I could get a crisper sound with better settings. Basically if somebody could tell me good ones for watching a blu-ray and different for watching tv?

I'm kinda new to this whole thing. If any of you audiophiles out there could help me I would realy appreciate it. Thanks in advance

Just ordered the Vizio VHT215 today....does anyone have any sound recommendations?? I'd love to be able to optimize the sound as I know it's one of the more budgety sound bars out there.

There are a lot of variables that can affect sound in your specific setup. I would post what model TV you have as well as what sources you will be connecting. We can offer advice on connectivity options. As for sound settings, that will probably be more trial and error on your part.

We are here to help you. Please help us to help you. If you provide incomplete information, at best, we can give you an incomplete response.

Honestly room size and position of everything are probably the biggest factors in these settings. I set one up for my parents and it sounds OK but no amount of tweaking will improve it much. It's not like this thing has room correction or bass management. If you want something you can dial in get a true receiver. If they came out with a Lepai amp with a remote control I would never suggest a sound bar ever again unless space made it impossible for anything else.
