ok BATPIG-- i am lazy and don't really have a few afternoon to play with the set-up on my new equipment on the way now:
Def Tech SSA 42 and Supercube III Sub to be paired with Denon Avr 2112.
my 50" panny will be on a 48" wall with 4 ' of doorway one side and an enterance alcove on the other side side--this is a short wall in a 12' x 15.5' bedroom. this odd config is why i have the sound bar and likely will have the small super cube in the little alcove.....not great location for sub in small room.
i am really going to need the audessey on thje denon to keep things well balanced and clean. Def Tech techies have suggested to not use the audessey the wiring set-up to create the wide enveloping sound of this sound bar will not work well with the room correction software.
Cnet review by audiophole, steve guttenberg says ok to use BUT don't put in speaker distances--all zeros and set the fronts to zero bd and tghe rear psuedo-surrounds to + 3 or 4 db.
any practical suggestions out there? Help would be appreciated!
