I have purchased two different soundbars and cannot get them to work on this tv. So I have returned them. This tv has a coax connection and no optical, the soundbars have optical. Is there a way to connect a soundbar to this tv? I also have a direct tv box that has no optical output. As you can tell, I am a complete novice so be gentle, please. smile.gif

To connect digital coax to digital optical (toslink) you just need a converter like this one. Plus a coax cable and a toslink cable. There are some soundbars that have a coax input. With those you wouldn't need a converter.
