Hope possum girl can answer this. Have all Sammy units,3d tv series 7150, Sammy sound bar hwe450'c,and Sammy blue bdem59. Same issue want all sound thru bar. Current hookup All hdmi cables, cable box out to bar in,, bar out to tv arc, blue ray out to hdmi tv 3 Same problems as others. Currently tv plays great thru bar but blue ray only plays thru tv speakers. With bar selected to hdmi source still can hear tv over top of DVD player. I must shut off bar to here blue. Ok possum girl don't fail me now DR D I am not worried about on off issues and using multi remotes. Still confused with any net but don't think it means anything. Also my Cecil is turned on the tv.

If I understand your post correctly, your cable box is connected to the soundbar. That part is working fine. Your BD player is connected to the TV and you're not getting audio from it to the soundbar. Is that the issue? Start with the basics here:

Make sure Anynet+ is enabled both on the TV and on the soundbar (using the button on the remote).

Make sure you have changed the audio settings on the TV to use external speakers, not the TV speakers.

Make sure you are selecting D.IN on the soundbar when you want to hear the BD player.

Make sure you are using a high-speed HDMI cable for your connection between soundbar and TV.

Yes it does. Go to Menu>>>Sound>>>Speaker Settings>>>Speaker Select. Then choose external. That information is in your owner's manual/on-screen help.

If that doesn't solve the issue, try different HDMI cables.

If all else fails, connect an optical cable from TV to soundbar.
