I have the Samsung UN55ES7100 TV. I mainly watch football, movies and play PS3. I'm looking for a powered soundbar that doesn't require a receiver or amp. I have the Polk PSW-111 sub I can use if the suggested soundbar doesn't come with one. I'm looking to spend no more than $600 or so as I have a $500 card for Crutchfield (making it $100 out of pocket). So far I'm considering the following, in this order. I'd love to ear some insight if anyone wants to share. I appreciate it.

JBL Cinema SB 400
Klipsch Icon SB1
Sony HT-CT260

This is a tough call. Now I am seeing info on this Z-Base 580? Kind of ugly but good reviews. Now I've got 4 to choose from. Leaning toward the JBL if anyone has experience with it.

I think that Energy Elite may be basically the same as the SB1. Same manufacturer, Klipsch. And both have gotten good reviews.

Go with the Klipsch. It doesn't even compare to the rest. Stay far, far away from the Sony!

Go to a Best Buy - they have the Klipsch there so you can listen for yourself. It's AMAZING!

I have the Energy Elite, and really enjoy it.

Have a question, on my Xbox One I have the option of 5.1 , 7.1, DTS, or STEREO for output, which should I choose, I have it on Stereo.

I have the F8500 Samsung, and the energy bar is connected to it by optical.

Klipsch seems to be the best option. Crutchfield doesnt seem to sell the Energy power bar. What about the Polk Surroundbar 6000? It's got good reviews on Crutchfield and is on sale this week for $299. Was thinking of going the Polk Surroundbar 9000 or Klipsch SB3 myself.

The Polk 5000 soundbar actually has a more powerful sub if you prefer strong bass. And the Energy Powerbar Elite is on sale for $349 this week at Best Buy and HHG. I think it is the same as the Klipsch SB1, and it sounds very good and syncs very easily with your TV remote.

Go with the Klipsch, you'll be very glad that you did. It is different from the Power Bar Elite, because that is Energy's version it does not have the horn-loaded tweeters that are still exclusive to Klipsch. To the eye, the Klipsch and Energy look identical, but with the speaker grilles off the difference is very clear in the tweeters. Also, in case you have not heard the Polk 6000, do not waste your time or money. Very very disappointing from Polk. Don't touch any Polk soundbar under the 9000. Even then, I still prefer the crisp clarity of the Klipsch.
