Please provide more information. Are you saying that you want to listen to a different source while watching TV? How do you currently have the soundbar connected? It can certainly be done but we need more information.

We are here to help you. Please help us to help you. If you provide incomplete information, at best, we can give you an incomplete response.

thanx for the response:).. i have a simple setup for the sound bar and tv. they are just connected via a HDMI cable.
I use the ARC function if i want to play the tv audio through the sound bar at present. With them both being LG products I do have the SIMPLINK function set to ON..
My problem is if i want to watch a sports channel for example (on mute:), and still play music via ipod, usb etc..from the soundbar, i'm unable to do as i either have to choose an input from the sound bar eg. ipod, usb or tv input eg HDMI 1 which is my input to watch tv channels on a satellite decoder (in South Africa).

thanks again..
