Well, ideally I would like to connect a Roku device, the blu-ray player, a PlayStation 3, and the soundbar together, but I figured I would initially test it with the blu-ray. I do have an HDMI hub with five input ports and one output port, if that helps.
I did try the setup you described. I hat the soundbar plugged into the HDMI 1 port on the TV and had a second HDMI cable running to the sound bar (yes, I made sure I had the cables plugged into the correct ports on the soundbar) from the blu-ray player, but when I set the TV input to HDMI 1, the TV didn't register a connection to the blu-ray player. It could not detect a device there and there was no audio or video. I also made sure to have "HDMI" selected as the source on the soundbar, but still nothing came through.
Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong? Unfortunately, I don't have cable TV here to allow testing of the soundbar on its own with the TV, though the soundbar does connect to my iPad via Bluetooth, so I know it works.
