Hey Guys,
I'm new to this so please understand if I ask for clarification.

I'm trying to figure out the most efficient/effective way to connect my TV to the soundbar.
My configuration is:
Comcast HDTV box ----> HDMI 1 Samsung TV.
Sony PS3
> HDMI 3 Samsung TV.

Samsung TV HDMI 2 --> TV out Sony HT-CT 100.

The Samsung TV does detect the receiver via AnyNet+ but it doesn't seem to output any sound to the Soundbar.

Any idea whats wrong ?
It doesn't matter what HDMI port I connect the TV to on the soundbar, there is no sound at all.
I wanted to keep everything on HDMI so I could consolidate all controls to 1 remote.

What's wrong is that you don't have an audio connection from the TV to the soundbar. The CT-100 does not support ARC so it doesn't matter if your TV does or doesn't. If you leave your source devices connected to the TV, you need to run an optical cable from the TV to the soundbar.

However, a MUCH better way to do this is connect the cable box and PS3 via HDMI to the soundbar, then run one HDMI from the soundbar to any HDMI port on the TV. The advantage of this is that you get better audio. Going through the TV will only give you stereo audio out.

Hey Possumgirl,
Yup, thats how I had it connected with my previous TV. Is there anyway to control all of the above with just the comcast remote ?
I had a harmony one, but lately its started having issues and would need to be replaced - trying to not need to do that.

Let me know if thats possible.
