ok guys I just sold my trusty 5.1 system and I'm now ready to move on to a nice sleek sound bar sub woofer set up but I'm having so much trouble finding exactly what I want , every sound bar I check out is missing something, a feature or two I really want in my sound bar. your opinions on pointing me to the right sound bar would be appreciated...

features I want...

must be really wide more than 40" so it will look good under my 70" sharp television.
Dolby digital/dts decoding
blue tooth to stream music from hand helds
multiple hdmi inputs at least 2
larger subwoofer at least 10"
excellent with music and movies
volume read out
high gloss black finish

optional features I would like.
room optimization via microphone like the Yamaha ysp series
2 rear wireless speakers for 5.1 like the Vizio S4251W

Unfortunately they do not exists . Closest you can come to that is the Yamaha YSP-5100 you can still find them on Amazon. Instead I would go with a LCR Bar Like the Artison 55" Studio SoundBar with custom grill. Team it up with sub of your choice,Onkyo or what ever you want to use, and wireless rear speaker. Those two are going to give you the biggest front stage you're looking for.

I'm new here to the world of AV, however from what I've found when looking at 5.1 soundbars,

You could consider Vizio's newly released 5.1 sound bar paired with an HDMI switcher to allow for your multiple inputs.

42” 5.1 Home Theater Sound Bar with Subwoofer and Satellite Speakers
MODEL NUMBER: S4251W-B4
http://store.vizio.com/home-theater-1/s4251wb4.html

Monoprice 4X1 HDMI® Switcher w/ Toslink & Digital Coaxial Port (Rev.2) w/ 3D support.

This might work depending on what you are trying to do.

Yes it has a attachment for the I phone that will turn just the soundbar on but I would buy an Apple TV and you have a way better interface for audio/netflex.

The 5100 will have more drivers, and suited for 60" and above.

Gonna pull the trigger on one, I think I might go def tech because my room is really not optimized for the Yammy, small room but opening to dining on the right and windows with drapes on left and my big sectional couch is against my rear wall, so no real reflective surfaces to work with... plus I like having a subwoofer included...

I still say the 5100 you have 48 drivers yapo to tune it in and the option of pre outs for more speakers for rear. It will be longer then the deftech so it will look descent with your tv.
They are both good pieces.
Hope it help a little.

Yeah I really wanted to get the yammy, but my room is not optimized, big opening to dining room so I decided to go def. Tech solo cinema xtr, very nice unit and having a subwoofer was a plus....
