Is it best to power off a sound bar when it is not in use, or is it perfectly fine to leave it on 24/7. I have a Vizio VHT210.

I wouldn't leave it on and why would you want to do that?

Just the hassle of turning it off and on every time I turn the TV on and off. Have been turning it off all along, just wondering if it was unnecessary.

There shouldn't be any problem with leaving the sound bar on 24/7. The only problem might be the electricity cost. The big advantage, although this a theory, is it will be warmed up so you'll get the best sound quality.

I use a Harmony remote for my bedroom setup with sound bar, powers everything on or off with one button.

Program the sound bar to their remote. Do have cable/ satellite? Because if you do you can program it to that remote.

A lot of newer soundbars have bluetooth and you phone will connect to it for music. So if it's always on, it's convienent to not have to turn it on just to play music.
