I come to 2 soundbars that fits in to the budget - Yamaha YSP2200 and JBL SB400. Cant decide between this to models. I believe that JBL is better for music, Yamaha for movies. I general I want to upgrade TV sound when watching movies and etc..
Any suggestions ?

I like the TruAudio and Energy soundbars better, and they are in the same price point.

Yamaha may have a more convincing surround experience if that is important. JBL may have a richer sound. A lot of this depends on room and positioning. If the room is too large, you will never get much of a surround experience. If the room is too reflective, the JBL could be a little harsh.

For roughly the same money as the JBL, you might consider the new Pioneer Speaker Bar. Good on music and movies. However, no fake surround mode which is a deal breaker for some people.
