I've had the HT-CT150 in my wish list for long time to match with my 46" Samsung LCD. I choose the 150 over the 260 because of HDMI.
Now the 260H comes out and has a single HDMI input, versus 3 on the 150. I'll be feeding a HTPC, PS4 and some other game systems.
It's Christmas time! Can anyone advise which is the better choice between these two? Or maybe go for the HT-CT660 instead?
If using HDMI I would connect into a sound bar with multiple HDMI ports and use the sound bar to switch your sources. If you let the TV do the switching and use ARC or optical you will not be able to decode the lossless formats and might only get stereo with a Samsung TV.
If you are looking for something else I would avoid the Sony bars you are considering and go with something that has better sound quality.
Thanks for the response. When I was last looking, the Sony 150 had the best sound quality. What models are regarded as the best-sounding soundbars these days in the $200-300 range?
This is for a very small room, single listening spot.
The single listening spot is good as many sound bars have poor separation. I did a LOT of research and trials on many speaker and sound bars. Below are some of my posts. In a nutshell under $300 look at the JVC, if you can stretch a little over $300 look at the Pioneer for sound quality.
