I know that the ge is a 3 channel passive and the ml is a powerered, but my thought process is that the ml would enable me to sell my receiver {pioneer elite sc 65), and buy a quality sub, but I am looking for how the 2 stack up musicly as they both use the folded tweeter that I am looking for, ht is not that important to me so I am leaning towards the ml.,but still looking for opinions,.also if ge or ml are coming out with new versions at ces, thanks

Is your TV wall mounted or sitting on a stand? Because if on a stand the ML is 5" tall and may block the IR remote sensor on your TV, thus you may have to raise the TV up (like a plywood base under the TV's base). Welcome to the little-known issue of the world of high-quality soundbars (i.e. soundbars containing larger mid-range speakers) with TVs that aren't wall-mounted.

See the review of the GE soundbar I just posted - its height doesn't block the IR sensor of my 55" TV.

no problem on size, tv sits 6 inches above the stand

I just noticed you live in the Baltimore area. That's where GoldenEar is - drop in and talk to them.
