I have just brought a hw-e450 for my LG 37LF2510 tv and LG BD670 blu-ray player, the sound is crisp and powerful, but I cannot get any sound on tv. Sound bar does work and you can hear the sound from BD/DVD, but if you turn down the volume of the hw-e450 anything sounds on the tv speakers.

LG BD670 --> HDMI IN --> HW-E450 --> HDMI OUT --> LG 37LF2510

Both HDMI cables are 1.4 version, is this a compatibility issue?.

Please help me!

Thanks.

I couldn't find the manual for your TV on the LG site. Does it support ARC? If so, did you connect HDMI OUT on the soundbar to the ARC port on the TV? My TV doesn't support ARC but, from what I'm told, the soundbar needs to be on D. IN. With your setup, you would need to change the source to HDMI to get sound when using your BD player.

Version numbers don't apply to HDMI cables. Ideally, you want to use high-speed HDMI cables.

Thanks for your answer, my TV doesn´t support ARC.

I have just found the solution, on the remote control if you select 'Speaker' you can choose between the speakers of the TV or the speakers of the soundbar.

Unfortunately, with HDMI selected you can not hear the sound simultaneously on television and the soundbar.

I don't like having sound come from the TV's speakers and the soundbar simultaneously because of the echo effect.

If your TV doesn't support ARC, you can't output sound from the TV via HDMI. You either have to connect sources to the soundbar first, as you did with your BD player, or you need to output the TV's sound by using an optical cable or the included analog cable.

Yeah, it´s true...

I only wanted to verify that it wasn´t a issue of my unit.
