I have the Vizio S3821w-C0 38-inch 2.1 Home Theater Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer , And i would like to know if i could use a simple thumbnail bluetooth dongle, plugged into my tv’s usb, to pair my tv with the sound bars’ bluetooth?

I would doubt it. Most TV USB ports are designed to use an external media source or for service use, not for an audio pass through connection. A TV's USB functions are usually accessed through some type of app or different "Home" screen which functions as a separate individual mode. Similar to the way each individual input functions.

Are you just trying to eliminate running a cable to the TV? I would suggest sticking with using an optical, HDMI, or some other cable. The sound quality will be better.

Thanks TdotLee.

You got it, I'm just trying to see if I can hook it up without having to run an audio connection to it.

If I could, It would increase my options for placement.
