3-Chanell Passive Soundbar AND Surround Left & Right Speakers | 5.1 "Surround"

Has anyone experimented with using a 3-channel passive soundbar and two in-ceiling surround speakers?

That's the idea behind the Vizio 5.1 soundbars, isn't it?

I mean, they're not in-ceiling, but they could be, I suppose...

Well it looks to me that yeah the Vizio S5451W-C2 is 5.1 but first off it's not passive as there appears to be a power connection port which means this set is active (powered by an amplifier). Also this set has two satellite speakers which to me aren't similar to that of in-ceiling speakers.

So really this isn't what I'm looking for not only because I can't use satellite speakers and also I'm just here to learn about what you or others experience is with passive sound bars and in-ceiling surrounds. Thank you for your reply though, I appreciate, I do.
