Recommend a Soundbar

Hi All,

It's been a while since I have posted. Please give me some recommendation on a sound bar.

I have a 65" Samsung U8550 and a Onkyo TX-SR605 with JBL 12" down firing subwoofer.

My budget is no more than $1,000 for a Sound bar and so far I'm looking at Mythos SSA-42 or 50. I definitely wants to use my Receiver to power the sound bar.

Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Take a look @ Paradigm. They have a $900 option with a wireless sub which sounds awesome.

The Definitive Technology Mythos SSA 50 has wonderful sound considering that it is a soundbar and has 4" drivers. Aside from the Def Tech, You should also take a look at the GoldenEar SuperCinema 3D Array or the Episode ES-500-SNDBAR-50-BLK. Those are both in your price range and they are both approximately 49" wide which would make them a good match for your TV. The GoldenEar and the Episode are two of the widest off-the-shelf soundbars. If you wanted a soundbar that is wider that those two, you would probably have to go with a custom made one like a Leon Horizon SB.

Packing a lot of sound into a small room.
268 square feet/2144 cubic feet
7.2 surround sound.
