Help: Need soundbar compatible with new Definitive Technology speakers....

So, in my infinite wisdom I bought all of the my equipment in advance of the installation for the new entertainment system. I purchased 2 Def Tech Promonitor 1000, 2 DI 6.5S (In ceiling) and 1 Procenter 2000 center speaker. Unfortunately the Procenter 2000 center speaker is 6 1/2" in height and the space will only allow 4" in height.

So, now i have to sell the Procenter 2000 (Take a loss) but more importantly find a Soundbar/center-channel speaker less than 4" in height that would compliment/maximize the sound with Definitive Technology speakers.

FYI, I am running Denon AVR-X2000 receiver.

Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Can you elaborate on why the space for a center channel will only allow for a 4" vertical height? Picture maybe?

A 4" height really narrows the list of potential speakers. I you want a soundbar, take a look at Leon speakers, they make some soundbars that use 2.5" drivers. See here: http://www.leonspeakers.com/horizon/hzut/

4 inches is tough - not much that I know of with those restrictions that are any good. You could get something custom built, but that would be expensive for what you'd get (3 1/2 drivers) for a center. You can buy shelves that mount to the top of the TV - is that an option? You could also run without a center. Your receiver can send the signal to your LR. That would sound pretty good if your LR aren't too far apart.

The entertainment system is in the design phase. This drawing is not accurate because the top shelf (will hold a sculpture) was bigger than originally measured. So, we will lower the cabinets but don't want the TV too low. It is a series of trade offs and my wife and the designer are saying that I only have 4" vertical height for the center channel..

Thank you......We have made similar suggestions to the builder and are waiting for him to re-draw everything to scale and hope we can find a few inches to make it work.........
