I'm looking at the Yamaha YSP-1100 and have been doing tons of searches. What I cant find are my 2 questions

1. Will this soundbar fill a 23x22 room? I'm not looking for anything to blow me away, but just good sound for watching sports and occasional DVD. I will have a JBL 250 watt 12" sub to hook up for base.

2. My room has cathedral ceilings, 3 full walls, and the entry. If the cathedral is about 12 ft high, is that too big of a room for a YSP?

Thanks!

1. It won't do ear bleeding levels but if yuo listen at moderate levels you will be fine.

2. It works fine with cathedral ceilings.

I'd look at the YSP-4000 unless you are getting a great closeout deal on the 1100.

Your definitely getting an underpowered system. The sub will help things, but your not going to have much mid-bass, which is where alot of the tonal qualities of dialog reside. Will it sound better than your TV alone? Probably ...

If you want to fill that room properly, start looking at speakers with 5 to 7 inch midbass drivers.
