I'd debate that but with the Pac 10 and USC now sanctioned over Reggie Bush, I can understand your point. I bet they made a quick change and pulled a USC game. Kind of strange to have two Auburn games in a row.

Lee, is it time to change the title of the topic and delete the dates?

I eat my words. This is a great game. Too bad ESPN 3D shut down on D* with Clemson on the 5 coming back for a touchdown. by the time I shifted over the ESPN 2D I missed the TD.

Someone should be hung, drawn and quartered for the mess up!!! Are you kidding ESPN?

Wow. Someone just woke up at ESPN 3d and put the game back on.

I hope they don't let this mistake happen again.

ESPN 3D lists a game, but the ESPN 3D guide on DirecTV does not list it--just "to be announced".

ESPN 3D will keep things rolling in week four of the college football season by featuring Auburn, again, as it hosts Steve Spurrier and South Carolina on September 25. That of course makes Auburn the first repeat on the schedule, after this weeks matchup with Clemson. Now that that's announced, we have two questions: Will all of ESPN 3D's games be on the eastern half of the country, and with an abundance of SEC speed on the field from both teams, can 3D cameras possibly hope to keep up with the action before busting into flames?

I stopped watching after the first broadcast (Boise) due to the lackluster quality caused by TnB 720p.

The carrier has nothing to do with it. ESPN 3D is sub par period.

Looked semi-OK on Directv, until 10:00 when they just turned the game off with 2 minutes left to play. WTF? If Carolina came back, I'm going to have find someone at D* and pound the crap out of them.

I think the quality of the broadcasts are progressively getting better with each game.

Does anyone else have issues with the graphics they're displaying more so than anything else? This is the first broadcast I had a 3D display for and I couldn't look at the score in the top right corner for example without straining my eyes. (I think part of the problem is that for one eye, some of it was literally cut off, despite my TV having zero overscan).

Other graphics they put up were pretty blurry as well. Most of the in-game stuff looked really good though. What I found most impressive were the shots of the crowd in the stadium, the effect worked really well there.

Direct TV's PQ was ok for this game, blurry and dull looking though
I think the lower resolution must have a lot to do with it. Really wish we could get a 1080p feed in the near future(no chance)

Still good game to watch and pleased with the 3D effects over all. The 3D looked great with tons of depth

The big problem is that with 1/2 720p resolution you can't sit close enough (<1 1/2 screen diameter) for 3D immersion unless you're willing to settle for a SDTV picture.

The game came back on about a minute later. 3D NCAA football, even in 720 is better than not having it. I agree with another poster that the coverage is getting better, especially the Auburn cheerleaders.

We've got to support the few broadcasters that are making an attempt to bring us live 3D sports. Remember all the problems with HD when the broadcasts started and look at it now. 3D sports broadcasts will improve.

Im not sure if DTV or ESPN was having problems last night but I thought the broadcast was no where near as good as the Clemson Aub game. I thought they peaked at that game.

Why would I watch content that that is uncomfortable for me to view due to the low resolution? I don't care if they are "making an attempt to bring us live 3D sports", they aren't doing a good enough job!

Until ESPN announce they will switch to SbS 1080i I will only be watching the 3D event channels.

I love 3D and I love football--so it pains me to agree, but I must. And it's not only the SDTV resolution; the reduced brightness means that I'll only watch daylight games. The brightest 3D I've seen is African Adventure on comcast--so 1080i can be bright. Does anyone know what problems ESPN would encounter switching to 1080i?

I dont watch anymore games either due to the crappy resolution they are offering, ive watched enough blu-ray 3d things and also stuff directv gives us on n3d to realize espn is hurting the format by producing crapping broadcasts, switch to 1080i espn!

Yes - please switch to 1080i SBS. I'm done with ESPN3D until they make changes.

I sent feedback to ESPN here:
