I'm proud of WB for forcing it to be in 3D. There is no reason it shouldn't be filmed in 3D! The Pace/Fusion (Avatar, Transformers 3, RE4, etc) or RED 3D rigs (new Pirates of the Caribbean) are great and he can even throw in a few IMAX 3D scenes if he wants. If he was fine with the picture quality in TDK with IMAX then he has no logical basis to not like IMAX 3D and he shouldn't have a problem with Digital 3D.
Saying the image is too dark is such a BS thing to say. The film itself is not too dark or anything it's just that certain theaters are subpar. Many cinemas use low-gain screens with low-lumen projectors and the original RealD ZScreen. If he were to watch a movie at a Rave Motion Pictures theater he would realize how dumb his statement was. RealD ZScreen XL+High Gain non-hotspotting silver screen+4k and higher lumens is 3D bliss.
