I rented Grand Canyon BluRay 3D from Blockbuster.com (DVD by mail subscription)

Lo and Behold ... it has some pretty neat HD calibration patterns. You should check it out if you do not own any 1080p calibration discs.

My Vizio E3D420VX passed with flying colors.

Cool!

Most of the Pixar blu-rays have basic screen optimizing tools as well.

Of course, I just sold this disc because I found the movie so insufferably boring that I couldn't even make it halfway through the 45 minutes. Are the calibration patterns in 2D or 3D? Do any of the other IMAX discs have this?

I know this thread is way old, but in case anyone is still checking it, just how do you get to the test patterns on this disc?

Thanks.
