Every time I go to my brick and mortar BB I ask them if they are going to stock 3D disks and tell them I currently pay $7.99 a piece to rent elsewhere.

As i walked in the door of BB tonight they told me the just received their first in store 3d blue ray: Pirates 4. They told me they will probably get Cars 2 and other Disney titles first!!!! He was not sure about Captain America.

This store only received two copies, but I know them well enough that if I ask them to hold a new disk until I get there, they will do it.

Glad to see this. Hopefully this will hold true for the BB store nearest me or better yet become available via mail! I selected Green Lantern 3D by mail which initially said "on order", then went to UNAVAILABLE.

Update:
Now it's back to "ON ORDER". Guess there's still hope!

As to charges, BB doesn't charge any more for Bluray as opposed to DVD at least with their by mail plan. I have a one disc out @ a time and I'm assuming their would be no additional fee. My plan is included with my Dish Network account but I believe 1 disc out @ a time is $9.99 @ month.

Could you provide a link to the blockbuster site because when I search for 3D movies I see a bunch like Pirates 4, Green Lantern, Fright Night and so on but the only options to add to my queue are DVD and Bluray and no 3D version.

It figures that this would happen when I close my Blockbuster Online account. Kids are back in school now, and I just don't seem to be watching movies as much. With all the NFL Football I'm watching, and surfing the net, and playing various video games, just don't seem to have much time for movies atm.

When on a particular movie's info click on "see all versions". That's how I found "Green Lantern 3D" which when you click on it and add it to your "Q" says ORDERED. I don't know if they'll ever really get it or not, just reported what it said. I tried it for "Pirates 4" though and no luck--just DVD & BR. Hopefully this is for real and others will follow.

Bummer our Canadian BB all shut down even though they were apparently turning a profit.

Blockbuster needs to hear from the in-store customers. I lucked out with a manager at my preferred store who is pretty enthusiastic about the format, and he is doing all he can to get as many titles in stock.

I just talked to a BB rep after putting Green Lantern 3D in my queue. After talking to a supervisor she said they do not have it in 3D. It is some sort of glitch in their inventory.

Hmmmm.. i'm in Sydney, Australia .. and our BB stocks all 3D releases (whenever they become available) .. Surprisingly, there is not extra charge .. on a weekend a 1 day rental is $4.95 and on a weekday its $2.95 .. and all older 3-day rentals are $2.95 ..
