If you haven't seen golf in 3D yet, I highly recommend it!

Caught the replay of last years Masters the other night and ended up watching the whole thing.

Wish they could broadcast in full resolution..... would give the shots of the ball in the air coming towards the camera that extra 3d oomph. But still, all in all, a great 3d experience.

Does anyone know if Cablevision is carrying the Masters in 3D?

Time Warner is running the Masters in 3D on their ESPN 3D channel. They want $10 a month for the channel with mostly old sports events. Like 6 month old Football or Extreme Sports so I won't pay for it. Last year they had several par 3 holes in 3D for free. I was not impressed. Maybe it's better this year.

It is better this year. 3d cameras have been given better positioning but still not as good as the normal broadcast. Every now and then the 3d really gives you an idea of how undulating the greens are.

Some cable/satellite companies broadcast ESPN-3D in 1080i/60 SbS format which your 3DTV deinterlaces to full resolution 1080p/30. Other providers broadcast ESPN-3D in 720p/60 TnB format.

Shaw Cable had it on channel 301. Looked good, nice depth.

Watched some on Comcast ESPN 3D though delayed 2hrs from the 2D live version. The frame rate was just too slow for me and made it a strain to watch. It was also a bit blurry compared to the 2D version. Couldn't see the ball as well. This was on a Panny plasma 60ST30.

In the UK we had all four days of ESPN 3D coverage live.

Over all, very impressed.

Got an LG Cinema 3D passive, so watching for 3+ hours and no eye strain/headache.

Are the Sony Open and Masters the only 3D tournaments in the US?

I was VERY happy with the 3D coverage this year. Far more cameras on more holes. Even the Mrs. sat down and watched for a while. It seemed to me that there was one camera that needed a little alignment or something. There was one shot from the fairways that I could detect some ghosting and then as soon as they switched to the camera on the ball in the air or on the green, it was gone. It only seemed to happen with that one camera.

Anyway, overall, I really enjoyed it. I hope they keep it up.
