What are some of your favorite movies of all time which you wish the studios would remaster and convert to 3d Blu Ray?

Original Star Wars
Back to the Future
Terminator part II
Jarassic Park I
Aliens
Resident Evil series

Being a sci-fi fan, there are a few movies with some nice visuals that would probably benefit from a high-end 3D conversion....

2001: A Space Odyssey
Aliens
Blade Runner
Star Trek: The Motion Picture

The original War of the worlds. The last half was to be in 3d but the studio said no to it.

Gotta include "The Abyss"... 3D Russian water tentacles anyone?
I think "2010", "Inception", "2012" and "Dances with Wolves" would all be pretty cool too ( love the visual spectacle of these films )!
But the caveat, it has to be done correctly (ie. "Titanic")

I think, if done well, the Harry Potter series would be fantastic in 3D. Quidditch (sp?) matches in 3D would be awesome!

I wouldn't call them favorites but I really wish Wall-E and The Incredibles were in 3d.

How about an old school cult classic: The Last Starfighter.
I imagine that some of the scenes could be redone in 3D pretty easily since the scenes were computer generated. Any excuse to watch this bad, oops I mean cult, movie again smile.gif

Yes, and could the bonus feature of the disc be an additional audio track from the MST3K The Movie? I'd pre-order now.

Some that are already mentioned like Matrix, Star Trek movies.

I'd add The Fifth Element and Blade Runner.

This last week-end, I pulled out/dusted off 2 Blu-ray movies I remember waiting patiently (very patiently!) to be released... And they would be awesome as 3D conversions. I think even a few of the "I can't stand 3D animation/kids movies" folks would thoroughly enjoy parts of either film too. I am putting "Fantasia" and "Fantasia 2000" near the top of my wish list (along side "The Abyss")!

Wall-E and Rango.

What was the deal with Rango not being in 3D anyways?

There's plenty of other great movies not in 3D, though I've never been a big fan of post-process conversions. With CG movies they can be re-rendered in proper 3D, so those work a lot better for re-releases.

No doubt about it. These would be fantastic especially since I'm an avid Sci Fi fan:

Alien
Aliens
The Abyss
War of the Worlds (original)
This Island Earth

A Bugs Life.

And, being rendered animation, there's no reason it can't be done easily. That would be a very kewl looking movie.

Not a "favorite" movie but would certainly pick it up if it were in 3D: WHAT DREAMS MAY COME

Favorite Disney animation, Aladdin. I know it's only a matter of time since they are doing it with some of the older titles, but I'd like it ASAP.

They keep delaying the blu ray, though I think it is out internationally. I was hoping for this too, but doubt it's going to happen.
