Anything CGI is worth seeing in 3D. Anything post converted is questionable.

Even CGI can be iffy, depending on how it's done. I made my selections by going through 3D movie trailers on YouTube, and quickly noticed that some were far better than others (reserving the better ones as the ones I'd go pick up on 3DBD). While they're all "native" 3D by definition, I got the impression that some of them were created entirely with 2D in mind, with the addition of stereo added very late in the process, so none of the shots were really planned with depth in mind. Similar to the way you'd do a 2D>3D conversion. It just seems that the films planned as 3D from the start are more obvious, since the implementation is so much better and actually thought out.

Go watch the trailers for Despicable Me and Tangled. The difference is night and day, IMO.

Welcome to Rivendell, Mister Anderson.

I just got my 3D projector recently so I haven't had a chance to watch many yet.

It's already in your list, but A Christmas Carol 3D is outstanding. Far better than I expected, and it's one movie where the 3D quite clearly makes it better than it would be in 2D. I rented it and was so impressed I bought it.

For movies not on your list, IMAX: Under the Sea 3D is great and has the best 3D demo scene I've found so far.

Ice Age 4-Looks very coloful and vibrant on the screen compared to my live action 3Ds. Lots of snout-out-the-screen-shots smile.gif. Basically a big cartoon gang fight smile.gif. Kids may love it.
Finding Nemo 3D
Up
Men In Black 3
Paranorman
Brave
The Amazing Spiderman-the movie itself takes way too long to get interesting (90 minutes in?), and Spiderman seems almost a cameo compated to the actors' face time...a complaint I have with most of the new generation Marvel Studios movies...but if youre willing to sit through 90 minutes of the initial boredom of a teen high school drama, it actually turns into a superhero movie an hour and a half...in. Cool shots of Spidey swinging around and web shots.
Arthur Christmas
I Robot 3D
Avatar
Madagascar 3
Prometheus-I'm recommending this for the actual movie, which is awesome, and the 3D just adds to it
The Avengers-1.81 fullscreen 3D, must buy smile.gif. War at the end with hovercrafts, carrier ships, and explosive arrows flying out the screen.
Titanic 3D
The Pirates Band Of Misfits
Wrath Of The Titans-1.81:1 fullscreen, 'nuf said. You get molten lava thrown on you and punched at by a giant colossus, in 3D biggrin.gif.
StreetDance 2
Journey 2 The Mysterious Island
Underworld Awakenings-to me, it has to be slightly magnified from the original 2.40:1 aspect ratio if your tv is in the 50" range, as you wont totally see the magnificent depth. The fight scenes between Kate and a giant-sized werewolf come out the screen pretty good.
The Darkest Hour-seen this at theater, not a must buy.
Flying Swords Of Dragon Gate
Happy Feet 2
The Adventures Of TinTin
Puss In Boots
Transformers Dark Of The Moon
Final Destination 5
Kung Fu Panda 2
Kung Fu Panda
The Smurfs
Bolt
Meet The Robinsons
Chickin Little
Cars 2
Toy Story 3
Toy Story 2
Toy Story
The Lion King 3D
Beauty And The Beast 3D
Pirates Of The Caribbean On Stranger Tides
How To Train Your Dragon
Monsters vs Aliens
Ice Age 3
Rio
Final Destination 4
Tron Legacy
Tangled
Resident Evil Afterlife-Lots of good word about this. Havent picked it up because the sequel comes out in a couple weeks.
Legend Of The Guardiansi
Sammy's Adventures
The Polar Express
A Christmass Carol
Shrek
Shrek 2
Shrek 3
Shrek 4
Alice In Wonderland 3D

Under the Sea is a MUST own 3d title. It has one of the best pop out scenes yet, and the depth is strong throughout.

JVC 3D: Been there, done that, bought a DLP

Great list! Just stay away from I Robot and Shreks 1-3 and you should be good.

A movie with good 3D does not necessarily equal a good 3D movie!

I agree about "Hugo". The 3d is about as good as I have seen. And the movie itself is good.

I think Immortals 3D is a very good title to add.

I also fully recommend this because its a rare 1.81 full screen 3D, so no picture increase needed, and IMO, its the best aspect ratio to fully grasp the 3D on sets in the 50-60" range.

I'm also recommending it because Mickey Rourke is one of the greatest villain actors E-VER biggrin.gif. He nails it once again as the vicious King Hyperion!

Very cool (and very GRAPHIC) "immortal" battle at the end with nice 3D touches.

"King Hyperion...we can negotiate..." biggrin.gif

Mickey is playing the Devil in an upcoming western , oh man!
