I AM WONDERING.... has anyone tried this or does anyone see a renewed offer on their TV???
I'm not sure if that promotion is still running. In Canada when I registered I got 1 movie for $.99 and 2 more movies at 50% off. Great deal, especially with this week's announcement that Paramount 3D movies will now also be available in Canada.

After watching Hondo 3D tonight, I noticed 3DGO! has also added a bunch of new free 3D trailers. The new Avengers film, World War Z, Narnia, Peabody, The Croods, Planet of the Apes, and a bunch more. They must have close to 40-50 free clips/trailers on there now. I always like to see new content, even if its just trailers, to get my 3D fix in from time to time. :-)

3DGO officially announced they have launched on Samsung 3DTVs this week. Although sounds like some of the newest models will not be available for another couple of weeks.

3DGo said in mid-2013 they would be looking at offering the app through the likes of Roku, Xbox or Playstation. Whatever happened to that?

And when I asked about expanding beyond TV, the company said it was looking at the likes of Roku, PlayStation, and Xbox as logical extensions. The biggest problem there, however, is the need for on-board hardware that can decode the processor-intense Hi-Fi 3D format.
With as many different brands of TVs they are on now, it boggles my mind there is no other option yet. I would think Roku 4 or PS4 have plenty of power to do whatever they need.

Thumbs down

Sadly, my Vizio 3DXVT474SV does not support the 3DGO app, event though "Sensio" is an option in the 3D format menu. I get so pissed off when companies release a product, and then abandon it. I wasn't even an early adopter - this TV was a demo at Costco. Only the following Vizio models are supported:

E-Series
E420d-A0
E500d-A0
E551d-A0

M-Series
M3D650SV
M501d-A2
M501d-A2R
M551d-A2
M551d-A2R
M601d-A3
M601d-A3R
M651d-A2
M651d-A2R
M701d-A3
M701d-A3R
M801D-A3

To be fair, I don't think 3DGO has been abandoned on any 3DTVs. While most Vizio 3DTVs have Sensio 3D as a format option, the 3DGO app was never actually launched on all of them (I can only assume for technical reasons). And with Vizio dropping 3D from all their TVs I can understand why Sensio focused their efforts on other makers like LG and Samsung as they've rolled out the service over the last year or so. It still sucks, but maybe just for different reasons.

Luckily for those 3DTVs that are not currently supported (I have one that is and one that isn't) I read that 3DGO is supposed to be available on most streaming devices by the holidays.

You mean Roku as well?

Do you have a source for this?

The link you posted earlier, http://www.techhive.com/article/2047...-to-watch.html, mentioned Roku as well as Playstation and Xbox. And the following investor presentation discusses streaming devices being launched in the company's third quarter (which I believe is Dec15-Feb16) on pages 15 and 17. Page 12 of the presentation also has pics of Roku and Playstation as well as another streaming device I don't recognize. I can't recall where I heard or read that they would launch on streaming devices by the holidays, but it would be consistent with the link above.

Very helpful PDF. Definitely looks like they are going to be on devices soon.

Cannot get this service working properly. Samsung JS9500. I have set up my account on-line and "linked" my TV. I can play all the trailers they offer but when I go to make a purchase I get an error message along the lines...unable to process your order....It's been two days of this.
Any ideas? I'm assuming it's a problem on their end.

Sad to see 3DGO ending there service today at midnight. I used it a couple times but I assume the demand was just not there to keep the service going anymore.

Maybe if they had bothered to follow through with a Roku app they might have had a different fate. Chicken and egg...

The Vizio TVs I've used as computer monitors all had 3D capability and had the 3DGO logo prominently printed on the boxes. The first model never got the app, the second got the app but it never worked, and the third model I owned had the app but would not play any of the titles back in 3D. Two years' worth of emails and phone calls to both Vizio and 3DGO failed to resolve the issue, with both parties blaming the other.
