I haven't seen much mention of it recently, so I thought I'd bring back the topic. I have been watching a few movies the last few days with a Vizio passive smart tv, and am pleasantly surprised at the quality of the video. It is far better than I imagined it would be a few years ago assuming you have enough bandwidth with your internet provider.

The movie selection is still limited, but the quality of the stream is quite good in my opinion. I will have to rent or purchase a Vudu HDX to see how it compares. Anyway, it would be nice to hear other peoples opinion on this matter, because it kind of took me by surprise.

Since it is not provided on the majority of Smart Tvs, responses will be few,

It's not a matter of TVs, it's whether your local internet provider allows for it. Mine doesn't, as much as it irks me. Customer support is clueless as to the existence of such things, so they're no help.

Welcome to Rivendell, Mister Anderson.

It is also a matter of tvs (on top of providers), the list of enabled devices is very limited.

E.g., Windows 8 app is not on the list unlike Super HD.

I just got it on my Samsung Es8000. They have numerous 3D titles in their own dedicated section when you first boot Netflix up. It's just another category now such as Action, Comedy, Romance, etc.

They have the best use of 3D to date Sammy's Adventure, it's quite mind blowing. They also have hard to find & rare 3D titles such as Beowulf 3D and Art of Flight 3D, amongst others

As far as the quality I'd say it is right on par with Vudu HDX. Pressing info says that it's 1080p 3D

The newest Oppo players can do Ultra HD and 3D from Netflix. The 93 & 95 cannot.
