I'm new to the thread, but DEFINITELY haven't forgotten about it. I'm super excited about it!!

I sadly don't have a Blu-Ray burner and am hoping some kind soul in the thread with extra discs will be willing to make me a copy.

My wife thought buying 3D stuff is stupid and I want to prove her wrong!

WELL even without the demo disc my wife is now totally on board. She thinks it's the most amazing thing she's seen and way better than in the theater.

She wants to watch only 3D movies at home. We just bought about 20 more titles from Amazon.

I'd still love this demo disc if anyone can help me out.

I, like most I imagine, don't really have a need for a BD burner outside of this venture. So if anyone wants to do a major service to the community and has already downloaded it anyhow, please feel free to PM me and the others who have indicated a similar position.

I'd be more than happy to trade a 3D movie for it or chip in financially for the time and postage.

My case also. I'd be willing to do the same. To large a file to attempt at home. Don't know what I was thinking.

I'm another with no Blu-ray burner. I'd pay for the cost and shipping plus a little extra.

Attempting to download this now. When it's done, I assume throwing it on a hard drive and letting my Oppo 103d on it won't work because it's a folder. Would something like MakeMKV be used to make it Oppo compliant?

Just burn it with Imageburn as a file and it works fine on my Oppo 103D. There are clips from 50 movies.

I don't have a Blu-Ray burner unfortunately. I have to do it as a file or streaming from something via Plex

Well, MakeMKV is choking on it. Not sure what other software I can try to make this into a file playable by the Oppo

I would post the question at the OPPO 103D thread.

Official OPPO BDP-103D (Darbee Edition) Owner's Thread

Mainly if there is a way to play BDMV structure discs. The 3d disc has an additional SSIS folder that technically contains the 3d clips.

For all of us who want this, but don't have a BD burner, it seems that we're all sh** out of luck.
Nobody in this thread wants to help us, by making copies for us.
Even after we offered to help with shipping cost, ect.

i would love to but i'm in the uk so i'm guessing it might cost quite a bit to send it across the pond once i get all my discs finished (3d vol 1, demo disc vol1, 2 and ultimate) i might get some free time to burn some and get to the post office etc but as it stands now i don't even have any blanks to do it with (i'm burning to bd-re until i can afford to get a new bunch of blanks) its not that i won't it's just that i can't right now sorry but never say never

is there a tutorial somewhere on what I need to be able to do this, such as programs, burners, what to buy and all that stuff? Sorry for the lack of knowledge, but I've never had a need to burn anything so I have no idea how to do any of this.

Red face Great Job!

I had a chance to download these files and burn them onto a BR DVD and watch some of the clips this evening. I just wanted to thank you for doing this demonstration disc. It is amazing. While I only had a chance to watch a few a the clips, I did watch the LG clip at the end and that was absolutely amazing.

I have an Oppo 3D blu-ray player and the disc played fine without having to add the extra directories (which was good as I only had one blank blu-ray disc left). I watched this on my Sony VPL-VW600ES projector and it played with no problems.

Thanks again for taking the time to prepare this demonstration disc.

Scott

If you have a PC or Laptop with a HDMI 1.4 capable video card than you can create an ISO of this and mount it to a virtual disc (free software) . It then can be played with PowerDVD or TMT (free 30 day trial) to any 3D tv via an HDMI cable. A BR burner is about $60 us and blank BRDL 50 gig discs are between $3 to $5 us. ISO creator and burning software is free.

Do we already have the 3D demo disk that superleo is doing (and many of us are also contributing to)?
(this thread is about that disk actually)
Or are you guys commenting here on the "other" disk pjvader did?

There's a separate thread for direct comments related to that disk...

The disc with contribution from different guys still in the works. Just been busy and I need to work on fixing some of the clips.

Still going, just slower than I'd would liked.

Once the disc is completed maybe we can do a meetup at Bjorns to demo the disc. That would be fun
