The Colony (2013) converted 3D?

I watched The Colony (2013) last night--yeah it's okay at best. But there were times when I was sure it was meant to be in 3D. I watched the end credits and, sure enough, it listed the S3D conversion team. Frankly, never heard of the film until I saw it on Netflix and looks like it never made it to 3D in the theaters. Just wondering if anyone has seen it in 3D?

I have it recorded from Directv, in 2D. I don't remember any 3D-esque scenes. Wonder why they bothered with a conversion if it never made it to theater or Blu ray? It's a lost 3D title.

Hi, are you saying it's in 3D on Netflix? I can't even find 3D movies on Netflix anymore.

No, he's saying he watched it via Netflix in 2D but noticed in the credits there was a stereo conversion. It doesn't appear to have been released in 3D in any format.

There was what I call the "flume ride" into one of the silos and some other scenes during the chase through the building that gave me hints that it was intended for 3D. Though the story was different, the feel of the movie reminded of the The Thing remake with Kurt Russell.

Perhaps, somewhere in China there is a 3D copy. Most 3D conversions are done for that crowd, not the US crowd according to what I read.

Nice catch btw, I just played the end of my recording of The Colony and there it is, S3D Conversion by Vision Globale, Montreal
and it lists the stereo artists after that.

I sent them a message to inquire what became of the 3D release.
