It would be a very short list, name a Marvell film releasing this year and it's on the list no doubt.

Best 3D movie in my collection would be DREDD, damn fine and wasn't even filmed in native 3D

very hard to say.

Marvel is not very good in 3D so far. last year guardian of the galaxy was positive. but captain america 2 was horrible.

last year Transformer 4 and turtles movies had by far the best 3D. with Amazing Spiderman 2 close second.

so for the best 3D i would go for either a Paramount picture or a sony movie based on 2014. animation movies not included.

Mad Max - high speed car chases, unique art style, lots of beauty shots
The Walk - vertigo-inducing
Pan - take Hugo, Life of Pi, Great Gatsby and Avatar- and pack them into a single movie

Everything else looks like your typical action 3D. Though I might see Star Wars in 3D and recommend Avengers (but don't care to see it)

I'm looking forward to The Hobbit: Five Armies, soon. The Trilogy is one I can binge on for a weekend. I don't think the release date has been announced yet so if anyone has any info, TIA.

End of March, I've been told (but don't quote me!). Extended version will probably be around Xmas...maybe sooner since there isn't a 4th film to promote this time out.

Why on earth would they re-make this...and with "extreme sports athletes" instead of surfers?!

I'm a little embarassed to admit that I love the original and have owned it on VHS, laserdisc, DVD and now BR. This re-make is pointless and will most likely suck eggs compared to the original.

Uh.. pretty sure that was native, actually. But yes, that's a good one.

Welcome to Rivendell, Mister Anderson.

On that page click the The Hobbit - The Battle of the Five Armies 3D 5 Disc Set (the one with no picture) below the "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies: Other Editions" where there are cover pictures of three other versions. That will take you to the extended 3D version page with the supposed release date.

I am particularly looking forward to Pan, and hoping the 3D Force is strong with this one. Peter Pan has seen a wide variety of treatments over the years so interested in some of the prequel aspects of this one.

Jurassic World has my curiosity piqued as well.

Everyone already mentioned the third installment of 'The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies' ... next month.

Also, 'Big Hero 6' from overseas, if you have a "World" (all regions) universal Blu-ray player.

Have all you folks excitedly awaiting Hobbit - Five Armies actually see it? I was one of the few people that actually LIKED the first two. But the final movie made me hate the whole trilogy. Its that bad. I'm sure it has some beautiful 3D but the movie was terrible (IMO).
