Amazon now has it for $1,599 also add the 3D starter kit for $100 and there is a $75 off promotion.

$1,599 + $101.95 - $75 = $1,625.95 free shipping

You can also pricematch Sears after you order for another $100 off bringing the total to:

$1,525.95

BB has this model at closeout as well, but probably not a better price. There has been additional discounts lately though.

You can get another 5% off this weekend at Sears if you're a `Shop Your Way Rewards' member, making it $1424.89. Get another 5% off if you use your sears card.

Am I doing something wrong, when I go to sears.com, it comes up as $2899.99 for me. I realize sometimes prices online and instore do not match, but more than a 50% (or 100% depending on how you are looking at it) difference?

http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...prop17=55nx720

(sorry this is not a link, it wont let me post a link since I dont have at least 3 posts)

Am I going to the wrong site?

*EDIT: apparently unchecking the 'automatically parse text into links' box gets around the 3 post minimum (not that I was trying to do that).

You have to go all the way to checkout to see the 1399 price. I remember the Post Office used to include 10% off coupons to Sears in their Change of Address packets, so you may want to head down to your local PO and pick one up (free).

I'm very close to pulling the trigger on this too, although with Frys charging only 1099, I might hold out to see if any stores in my area follow suit.

Yeah, it still doesnt show up as anything other than $2899.99 for me. Do you have to be signed in as a Sears Rewards Member to see the discount? From reading the thread, I took that as only providing an additional 5% discount.

I'm able to see the $1399 price without being logged in.

The Sears Your Way promotion was for Sunday only.

You can still do this deal but now you get $200 off.

That's the 3D kit that will give you $75 off from Amazon when purchased with a Sony TV:

And you will avoid tax (for most) and if you use a credit card like the Citi Forward, you get an additional 5% back which brings the total to around $1455 for the TV shipped with glasses.

For those of you lucky enough to be close to one, Fry's has this TV on sale for a whopping $1099 through the 16th! You will find it on the left side of page 1 of the weekly ad. As usual per Fry's they never explicitly come out and say which TV is on sale but through the process of elimination and the "1 per customer" stamp on the details page of the KDL55NX720 there is no mistaking it. Several people have gotten local retailers to price match Fry's but it could be a battle at this bargain.

Has anyone tried this and gotten it to work with the $75 off as well? I put both in my cart and it gave me the $75 off, but after I ordered, it showed it as 2 different orders with the $75 coming off the TV. I am not sure if that would then mean that Amazon would only take an additional $125 off the TV or the full $200.

Just to be safe, I cancelled the orders and will try again tomorrow when I can talk to an agent about it as I saw in another amazon price matching thread that you can actually talk to them before ordering, but I was just curious if anyone was able to go all the way through with this and get the price match then the additional $75 off. Thanks.

Any links to posts so I can read up on how to do this? I find it hard to believe any retailer would match a flyer without a model number explicitly listed.

You can just have the retailer call the store and ask the model number's current price.

That's how I got Best Buy to match a pair of speakers on sale from Fry's awhile ago.

They called the Concord store, asked them the price for the model # of the speaker I wanted to buy, confirmed it, then marked it down during my sale for me.

Current HT setup:

Samsung UN65F6300 65" LCD HDTV, Polk CS20 Center, 2x Polk Monitor 75T Fronts, 2x Polk TSI300 Backs, Polk PSW110 Subwoofer.

You will get $125 off not $200 since they already applied the $75 off from the 3D glasses, at least that's how they price-matched my order.

The CNET review on this set says "1080i Deinterlacing (film) - FAILED". What does this mean? What if I am receiving a 1080i broadcast from an antenna or from my cable box??

If you have a Fry's nearby they might still have some in stock so don't forget to try and pricematch. Also I've seen this TV for as low as $1399 in-store at sears in the Chicagoland area.

I picked up one of these yesterday at Frys in Alpharetta for $1099. I believe that price is valid through Thursday, the 16th.

As of last night when I picked mine up, they had at least 2 more up on the rack. TV is not on the floor, so you have to ask about it.

Plus, there is no required bundle for this, so you can buy just the TV.

Panasonic 55ST30 also in stock and on sale for $1,199. Not sure which is the better TV and/or deal.

Good hunting.

Sears.com has the 60ST30 for $1250 and free shipping (depending on where you live).

Do you have an ad for this? I bought this TV last week and will go get my glasses if I have an ad.

Thanks

Just turned on my first projector on 17 Aug 2007 and I think I am hooked :).

Why does everyone that comes over ask how much it cost?

So here is my story...Went to Fry's (San Diego Mission Valley Store) and noticed that the (major name brand) sale on their flyer was the KDL55NX720. Went with the wife on Valentine’s Day and she was blown away by the picture and gave me the go ahead to get it! Yes she is awesome!!! Instead of buying that night, I did what I always do for electronics, research, research, research!!!

The next day I woke up and proceeded to go over to Fry’s, (called to confirm and they said they had two in stock at the store) When I got there the sales rep said that they were sold out, but go talk to the Sony rep because they had the KDL55EX720 for the same price. I was bummed because I thought since it was such a great price at $1099 for the NX and refused to pay the same price for the EX. So I walked away from the TV section and went to get my free upgrade for my phone at the phone sales rep. (had to do that too) so in conversation asked her if she could confirm how many units of the NX were in the store and she told me two. Now I’m getting pissed!

I then go back to the TV section and ask for a supervisor and tell him someone else conformed that two were in the store. He says wait a minute and then comes back and confirms that yes there are two but one is defective and the other is the one on the floor, but here is his direct phone # to call if I ever need to verify directly with the TV section about inventory. Then he tells me that the EX is on sale for the same price. So it was a classic bait and switch from the sales team to get people in for the NX and sell them the EX. All in all last time I ever shop at Fry’s!!!

Here is where is gets awesome! I drive over to Sears and they have it on sale for $1399. I find the nicest sales rep and tell her I had the worst experience at Fry’s and wouldn’t ever shop there again. She said she hated them as well and would help me out in any way she could. I told her that Fry’s has it for sale at $1099 but didn’t have a flyer! I told her she could call Fry’s (gave her the supervisors #) to verify and she did. She called and made up a story that she was shopping for the TV and that her husband was just at the store and wanted to know the price and if they had any in stock. He told her that they had one in stock for $1099. She then hung up the phone on them!! LOL
So now for the Sears awesome 110% price match… She called her manager over and told him she verified the price at Fry’s and he gave the go ahead to override the computer for price match. I told her she was the best and ring it up!!! She then said she would give me the Narnia 3d kit for $40 because they were having a sale on them and a $5 dollar off coupon to boot!

So here is the break down
KDL55NX720 TV $ 1099
Price match guarantee – $29.99
Coupon - $5
Recycle fee + $10
3D kit +39.99
Tax (8.75%) yes its California!!! +97.12 out the door total $1212.11

I wanted to kiss her and told her I’d be back to buy anything from her from now on. She works for commission and has gained a loyal customer!! *&^%YOU Fry’s!

I'm so very happy for all those lucky fools who live close to a Frys. For those residing in the other 42 states, this isn't a option. 9 out of 10 times I get an alert from Slick deals, it's a Frys sale.

In any case, I called Amazon for the 100th time, and they still won't budge with the price matches. I tried the Sears price match for the KDL55NX720 and the lowest they would go was $1490 and they would only go down to $2400 and something for the US Appliance price match with the 60".

Frankly, I think I've given up on Amazon's Price Matching. This is actually the only time they offered me something. Usually it's a flat out no.

Now that I've decided on the NX720 and not EX720, I'm hunting for a deal. I'm about to loose my HDTV CRT, as I gave it away to a nice family who answered my free ad on craigslist.

I had no trouble getting amazon to price match me to sears at $1399 about a week ago. How come amazon is putting the extra $90 on for you? Shipping? Did the price go up?

The kept on telling me "The lowest we can go is..." They wouldn't actually match them, they were just low balling me. I don't get it either. I've called about 6 times for different price matches others can get, but it never works out for me.

Try the pricematch over email, I got them to match Sears at $1,399.88 with the free 3D glasses and everything.
