The new Sharp 60" LED LE640U went on sale for $1499 at Sears. I believe it started on Sunday. Probably ends soon though.

I saw this exact same model at bestbuy.com last week for $1319.99. I think it was on Thursday last week, for part of the day. Price went back up that same night. Worth checking often for that deal.

Anyone think that Best Buy or others would match the Fry's price on this LC-60LE640U @ $1299 + $10 Calif LCD Fee & TAX?

Funny but being in the "Silicon Valley" This TV can only be shipped @ $69 min...

Would love to be able to pick it up in store.

I am looking for a entry level 60" LED TV and this Sharp unit seems to fit my needs perfectly...

OK, this is interesting, when I go to the Fry's website, both the LC-60LE830U (non-3D) and LC-60LE835U (3D) come up for the same price ($999.99).
I believe the non-3D has a matte screen, and the 3D has a glossy screen, but you need to check that for yourselves!

Great reviews and great deal. My local Fry's has both of them them in stock (according to the website). $999.99 + 6% sales tax. This is a killer deal for either one of these TV's.

Fry's website will let me order one and pick it up. However I want a new one in factory sealed box and am pretty retentive about that. Ad says it could be a demo or open box. Anyone know for sure if when you order on line, that it will be a brand new factory sealed unit? (I really don't want to drive 30 miles each way and have a hassle, which Fry's is known to do...)...

OK, I bit!

LC-60LE830U for $999.99 plus tax at my local Fry's. Factory sealed box. Said it was their last one (Atlanta/Duluth). This is the non-3D version, which is what I preferred even though the 3D was available for the same price yesterday.

Guy at checkout remarked how good a deal this was with a $1,700 discount, as did the guy at the door who checks receipts.

Got to go set it up now. Replacing a POS Sony 60" SXRD-XBR2, and will -NEVER- buy a Sony product again because of how they handled these SXRD defects. Surely not even close to paying a premium price for their now apparent lack of quality.

OK, rant off. Time to get this 830U set up!

These sale TV's at Fry's aren't showing as available for pick up in the Bay Area...Even though their ads show these locally ($999 60" LED Name Brand LCDTV).

They mention they will ship them for a charge - but online they show only stock on the LC60LE835U at any stores...and say to visit store to find out charges for local delivery. What the heck does that mean

Yes - Looks like the only ones "in stock" at Fry's now are defective ones. Lots of different stories depending on which store you talk to...

I should have jumped on this earlier if it would have mattered.
