That seems to be the going price. And in my shopping (recently) I couldn't get anyone to come off of it, so i ended up with the es7100.

BestBuy employees told me they have a price protection deal with samsung that all certified retailers must sell them at the same price. I don't know if i can believe that, but for the new model nobody would budge.

All ES model Samsungs abide by UMRP pricing and the prices are the same across all authorized retailers. This is pretty well known. Sony does the same thing this year.

So according to that UMRP pricing thing this can't be an authorized retailer. Why take the chance for $200 when you are buying such an expensive tv.

so it's safe to buy from amazon than? it's about $3 less than best buy, or will I lose my warranty if I buy from any online place.

I remember back than when buy a pioneer elite, if it was online than there was no warranty.

I'm not sure about that, but since the prices are the same, within $3, why not buy at your local store.

No 10% tax like in California and with the same excellent return policy as a local store.
