Looks like BestBuy is going to compete aggressively with Amazon on price for the LG xxLM7600.

If you go to the BestBuy website and select an xxLM7600, you'll see the famous "See price at checkout". Load the TV in your cart, select a store near you, checkout, and the TV will be ready and waiting for you at an Amazon price.

Interesting because .. when I called best buy customer care for a price match on same TV 4 weeks back when Amazon was having a bundle promotion they said they cannot price match Amazon as they are not as big as the online retailer.

BTW.. price match was requested on bundle too at BestBuy.

I just went in there and they price-matched off Google shopping, $1405 for the 55LM7600. Was $1799 in the store, and $1597 on-line at BestBuy.com once you go through the checkout.

Wow, they price matched East Coast TVs!?!?! I actually just picked up this TV from Best Buy yesterday. I thought I was getting a great deal for $1518 (after 5% cashback through Discover).

Don't remember if it was East Coast specifically. I told them I found it for $1414 on Google, but wasn't sure how they qualified a place to be matched. She brought it up and said they could do it, and it came up $1405. I didn't actually intend to get it yesterday, but when they agreed to that price I couldn't resist.

Right in the TV section. Two eager kids, not managers. They had to call for a price match override and weren't even questioned about it. Easy-peasy. No haggling, himmin or hawwinn. She looked it up on Google Shopping.

Can't find any info on if the screen is glossy, semi-glossy, or matte.

Best Buy is just too inconsistent. Just went to the first store here, they said they only pricematch local competitors, nation-wide store policy.

screen looks glossy or same as the samsung 6500 which i saw in best buy before i ordered this one, seems like 90% of the current models are glossy, personally if you spend 300 + more for the LG its kinda crazy but its your money ! check pana web site or amazon for more details, good luck and reply back if you go panasonic, thanks.

Second store wouldn't pricematch either lol.

I did look at the Panasonic 55ET5, LG 557600, and Samsung 55EH6000 (yea no 3d, but has awesome reviews on Amazon).

None of them were next to each other, and its impossible to compare anything in Best Buy (everything is so bright its impossible to check flashlighting etc)

I did watch the LG 7600 in 3D (just movie trailers and other BS). Honestly, I don't know how much I would use 3D. I think it just looks kind of silly on such a small screen.

I did notice on the Panasonic, some text (letters really, S's in particular) looked kind of pixely whereas the other sets looked fine.

I dunno what to do.

yes the lighting does suck there, don`t know how well the models are adjusted for picture but the samsung 6500 did seem somewhat brighter & more contrast but pana ET5 seemed more natural, you need to be at least 15 feet back from screen to make a judgement, maybe your standing close and notice the letter pixel, best buy had the pana at 1499 and they would not match amazon at 1138 so i went home and bought it.if you notice LG has the chrome or silver frame which is annoying and the stand is so cheap it looks like it would break, the pana et5 did have a better picture then the sony,if bb wants 1499-1599 for the LG you may want to consider the pans back on amazon, good luck.

Dang Edge. Don't know what to say. Maybe my store is more desperate for sales (wouldn't surprise me as we are not a big town). They practically threw the TV in my lap. The BBs I have dealt with have been the best. I can't understand the horror stories that others have with them. They aren't always the most knowledgeable, but then again I don't expect them to be. I always prefer to have as much knowledge as I can (hence me lurking on this forum).

I'm not sure if they can call my store, or a pic of the receipt will help or not.

well here in new york a store has to deal with me on price otherwise i walk ! they would not drop a dime on there 1499 price for the pana so my money goes to amazon,BB is going to get more desperate and they may go chapter 11 unless they change there ways,i have been in retail for many years including working at Crazy Eddie`s,the wiz, newmark & Lewis, which have all died because PC Richards killed them off.

Go to the store and speak to the manager.
I got them to match a low price for a sharp TV - saved over $1,000 on BB's price

I added the LG 47LM7600 and 55LM7600 to cart at bestbuy.com and it looks like they are matching Amazon's price. They have 47LM7600 for $998.99 and 55LM7600 for $1497.99. Should be easier to get them to match their own online price in the store rather than the Amazon price. I'm going to stop buy Best Buy today and see if I can pick up the 47" at that price.

Try Fry's for the 47". Nothing to price match to there.

Thanks for the suggestion. I didn't realize they had it at Fry's for that price. I ended up going to Best Buy and they didn't have a 47LM7600 in stock anywhere in my area and they weren't able to even order it but they offered the 47LM6700 for $899 so I took it. I usually hate buying anything from Best Buy but they pretty much threw this tv in my lap for what I thought was a very competitive price.

Best Buy is now selling the 55LM7600 with 6 extra pairs if glasses and a LG 3D bluray player for $1497. Bought mine 2 weeks ago for $1598. Went in today to get the refund and free bluray. Great deal IMO.

I wonder if I can go back in and get reimbursed for the BD player. I purchased the 620 when I got my TV. Price online through checkout still shows $1597.

Here is the link:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?type=category&id=pcmcat281400050002

Best Buy stores honor their online prices "in store" as well.

Should add up to $1498 for the 55" model. They will honor the deal for purchases within the past 30 days or 60 days if you are a reward zone silver member (like I was).

edit: Sorry. I just tried it and it rings up to $1598 for everything. Price went up $100 today. Glad I went in for my price match yesterday I guess. Still a good price for all you get. Seems to fluctuate with amazon pricing. May want to keep an eye on it from day to day as long as the offer stands.
