Just saw this yesterday, must be a new model. From the 6400 it looks like you lose 3D, local dimming and the touch remote. Over $1000 less though. It's not on the website so I'm guessing in-store only. My local Costco only had 1.

I've seen this online at PaulsTV, TigerDirect and Dell. Both PaulsTV and TigerDirect sales reps stated that they have had these models in for a while and they have been "hot" sellers. On Dells website it states that this is a "new" product. I am hoping this size and model does exist but I haven't convinced myself that it actually does...

Without seeing the TV, I am curious about the effects of not having and dimming on such a large TV (with it being edge lit). How did it look in the store? They didn't have one on display at the Cosco here in my town.

It was hard to tell in Costco; they had their terrible feed running to it and I could not find a remote. It has a black bezel and a rectangular stand like the cheaper models, but still a nice looking tv. I decided to spend the extra for the 6400 for the sleeker design and added features. Looks like a very nice tv for the money though- it was next to a 70" vision M and a 70" sony and looked brighter and crisper than either of those.

I saw this when they were just putting it out a few days ago. It looks aesthetically much better than the other Samsungs they have out. Nice all black design and non gaudy stand. Has anyone been able to find any reviews or even specs for this? I can't even find this on Costco's website.

I have seen it at Costco in Fort Worth. Picture looks better than most of the other sets. I also cannot find out anything about this model. It is like it is a Samsung secret.

Yeah really. I was just there today to get it's sku and information from the tag. It's 975630. And the exact price is 2899.99. I can't find any reviews still for this.

Oh, and I found it on Amazon. This things a beauty: http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Class-1080p-120Hz-Smart/dp/B00DZRGUAO?SubscriptionId=AKIAJBJSPEDQBC266GUA&tag=koypricedea03-20&linkCode=xm2&camp=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B00DZRGUAO

Best Buy just added it too: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Samsung+-+75%26%2334%3B+Class+(74-1/2%26%2334%3B+Diag.)+-+LED+-+1080p+-+120Hz+-+Smart+-+HDTV/1567573.p?id=1219055527698&skuId=1567573

Best Buy has the 60" in this for $1189 open-box but perfect, at least here at my local, and that's before further haggling.

Which is better picture quality?

75" F6300 Samsung for $2899 OR
70" R550A Sony for $2199

I got the Sony already with passive 3d and its great..really like picture during day, vibrant and colorful. Downside i noticed some led bleeding especially when I turn on the TV on one or two corners and the smart apps are very slow to load up.

The samsung has dual core, with samsung app layout. I hear it is better since it uses galaxy software. So is 600 worth the price to go 5 inches larger with no 3d?

I think a big difference is the Samsung is gloss and the Sony is semi matte. I'm not a fan of the smart tv stuff, but if that's important it might be worth it to go with the Samsung, just for the better/faster interface. I've seen reviews on the Sony and it looks like it's decent, but I want to see at least one Samsung review to decide between them. I can't judge at all in the middle of costco with all their lights and stuff.

Just bought this TV today and am going through the process of adjusting the settings. Much nicer than the 70" Sharp it replaced.

I saw these two TV side-by-side today and the Samsung F6300 has a much better picture quality. My guess is the F6300 is full array back-lit vs. the edge lit Sony, so the overall contrast ratio is better on Samsung's F6300. I also like the overall design and look of the F6300 and the Smart layout menu is nicer and easier to navigate.

BTW, regarding price, looks like everyone is at $2,899, even smaller specialty shops.

I was wondering if this model came with the stand attached. It seems to from looking at the manuals online. This would be great because I don't trust laying these huge tvs down to attach a stand. I also noticed samsung has the price at $2499 on their website.

Oh that is a killer deal! I wonder if costco will price match this? I want to be able to easily return it if it has any dead pixels.

Hey,
Saw the local Brandsmart had the 6400 for 3400. Is 3d and the dimming worth the extra 1k? I can't seem to justify the price difference especially since Samsung's own site has the 6300 for 2499. Any thoughts other than buy, buy, buy?

Well, personally, I can't stand 3D, it looks terrible. The micro dimming is good for making the black borders on super wide movies extra black, so you'll lose that feature. I don't think that's worth a grand though.

Wow $ 2499 for the 75F6300 Samsung is a super deal!! I called Costco.com and they will not price match it. They did tell me a bunch of stuff will be on sale Sept 4th and this product maybe included as part of the sale.
This make it worth switching from the Sony 70 inch R550A to this Samsung. For only $200 difference I get 5 inches more and the Samsung smart platform.biggrin.gif

The more I think about it and having a peice of mind, is to buy from Costco with the 2yr warranty plus 1 yr Amex and for $99 more you get 3 more yrs warranty. I hear so many horror stories with dealing with manufactures. Just wait ...black Friday is around the corner ...Costco may have a super deal.

Too bad they won't price match it. I'll wait till sept 4th, just for the sake of easy returns. Hopefully, they'll correct their price then.

I saw the 6300 drop to $2500 on Samsung when I was researching sets. I thought this is great as I thought $3000 was high for a non 3D set compared to the price of the 70" Sony/Vizio/Sharp with 3D. I kept looking at Amazon for the price drop smile.gif. Then this morning I look at Samsung and it's back up! It looks like patience is going to be a virtue as I believe that it has to drop back in the near future in order to sell them. Also I cannot find a thread for this TV in the LCD section? Nobody owns any of these?

The 75" 6300 was a late addition to the Samsung lineup. It wasn't even announced when they first announced the 2013 sets.

You should use camelcamelcamel to set a price alert...

I noticed the f6300 is only 240 motion instead of the 480 motion on the f6400. Do you think this will make a big difference

The processor is already a dual core....I don't think it will make a diffrence. Also speaking to Samsung they say the same thing. Go for it....main diffrence is no 3d and no Bluetooth. Even micro dimming, this TV has it according to samsung but not advertised. So unless you are a BIG 3d watcher go with the 6300 and save $1000 dollars!
