Guys this is my first post but so far I am loving this new 80" Vizio M801D....I think I got very lucky on my price. I was at our local Sams Club in central Ohio and they had this set as a return. They had it marked $2950. It had been there a week so was going to ask if they could drop it but new my wife would freak if I bought a new set after only having our Sharp 70" 240hz 3D for a year or so. I decided not to go for it that day. We came back a week or so later and it was gone so I thought "oh well you snooze you lose"...well I got back on Labor Day and what do I see but the Vizio..it was there all along they just made it a display away from where the returned Items were. Now since it had been over 3 weeks I figured they would definitely deal. I got it today for get this...$2305.00 + tax..I think that made it $2460.00 out the door. Now it cost me another $27.00 to rent a truck from Home Depot to get it home but it's setup now and I am very happy with it. I just had to share! I am very excited. I have not played with the configurations much but plan to dig in tomorrow. One thing I wish it could do that my Samsung 40" does so well is allow me to take video content off my PC and right click it and say choose "play to" and then I choose my Samsung and the content just starts playing and looks great. I get some type of error with the Vizio. Once again I am just starting to figure it out but I am connected to my local network via an RJ45 network cable so that is working. Was also trying to figure out how to verify if the firmware was updated the latest. I did not get a manual so will try and find a .pdf floating around out there.

Thanks in advance,

Scott

The latest Costco ad for oct 3 shows $600 off on the TV. I assume with the previous prices it would make it $3298 + tax.

It's already up on the Sam's Club site for $3298. I went to my local Best Buy and they price matched even though the Sam's club version is the A3 with four glasses while the Best Buy is the A3R with 8 glasses. They'll also haul off my 10 year old Mitsubishi 65413 which weighs about 300 pounds (still has a fairly good picture, but a little bit of burn in visible only if you're looking for it--which I, of course have been doing). I'm looking forward to playing Assassin's Creed 3 in 3D.biggrin.gif

The M801d-A3 is now slightly less than $3300 at both Sam's Club and for Amazon Prime members. Costco lists it as out of stock. I'm very pleased with my new M801 so far. I'm not having the remote problems so many have posted. The Innovex 83 inch stand ($275 delivered from Amazon) is a great match for the set, IMHO.

Anyone find any Black Friday deals on this beast? Costco and Sams has it for $3698ish. Be nice to get this thing for $3300 like the last October sale.

thanks,

Looking for this to here myself. 3698 seems to be the cheapest I can find thus far. I really wished I had pulled the plug in Oct .

tvsuperstores.com has it for $3399 and free shipping but don't know if its a good store or not. They don't take returns on TV's.

Have you SEEN the reviews on that place? I wouldn't buy from them even if I was paying with YOUR money.

I'm going to have to pull the trigger before 1 Jan, after that Amazon is going to start charging state tax here in Nevada, and that would add over a $300.

All

Apart from the number of glasses included, what is the difference between A3 and A3R ? Interesting to read the Amazon reviews of these units, appears A3 gets the edge on better experience

Thanks

I wrote directly to Vizio and they claim the only difference is the number of glasses.

Looks like it's down to $2999 + free shipping at Costco right now until 6/18. I wonder how much better of a deal we'll see on these before they're gone?
