Can anyone confirm that this is an IPS panel? I've been reading about panels and now I'm all paranoid about them. Thanks.

Warning: only 1 HDMI port.

I've seen the 42LN5300 (2 hdmi ports) go for $350 on sale before, so I'd consider waiting/watching for that.

I have one in another bedroom picture can't hold up to the other sets in the house as for brightness ,color, contrast, black levels or sharpness ( Toshiba LCD and ofc the Sammie Plasma are much better at least the ones that I have ) I'm looking to get another 40-46 " it will be a Samsung,Sony or Toshiba .
The LG 42LN5300 IMO is Better than an Insignia /Dynex but no match for others I mentioned . It's probably OK at ~$350.00 but not much more IMO.
after that you are getting into Samsung and Toshiba 39" sale prices with much better picture IMO. Although it might be good as a PC monitor .

We have an 40" Dynex LCD also (crappy as a TV but as a PC monitor it works very well with HDMI from PC so that's what we use it for. ) apparently the PC has better HD video than that particular TV it has a Samsung panel in it also imagine that,

Hires Music formats ..............."Why does it sound like a CD ?" ............. can we make it louder "?
