Samsung un60KS800D

Hey everyone, currently debating buying this model (UN60KS800D) from Sams Club, as it's available on sale for $999. However, I'd have to buy a membership for $45. I know there are some concerns over this model (due to the panel), but I would buy the 4 year ext warranty. Thoughts on this deal? I'm replacing a 3 year old UN60H7150 (issues with it), so I'm not eager to spend more than $1,000.

The extended square trade warranty is great. The display not so much. There is a reason why this model has come down in price so drastically vs other 2016 models. I went through 3 defective panels before going with a Vizio P series. I recommend saving your money for a better display.

Thanks for the advice. The more research I do, the more I may hold off a few months and buy the P65 around Black Friday. Considering I have panel issues w/ my Samsung now, I really don't want to deal with buying another Samsung with a questionable panel.

I'm thinking of buying the 49 or 55" version of this series. Anyone know if these sizes have the same panel problems? I know Samsung only offered this panel for one year. I would purchase a extended warrenty if I go with this set.

I had a 60" KS8000 and a 55" KS8000 in my house at the same time. I kept the 55". It had a better panel and no light bleed. The 60" panel had light bleed along the entire bottom and some in the corners. I believe Sharp makes the 60" panel.

How much do you expect to pay for the P65 on Black Friday?

I would guess the P65 will be somewhere in the $1300-$1350 range, and the M65 around $900'ish. I'm not in an urgent rush to buy, so I'm totally content with waiting and seeing how much they're selling for on Black Friday, then make a purchase.

Also check out the Sony x900e. It's rated better than the Vizio P series and not much more of a price difference.

the X900e is certainly a good tv, but current prices from reputable vendors are around $2K from what I can see. Seems like it's a good $500 more than a P65.

I'm sure it's been beaten to death, but would you say the P65 is worth the extra $400 over the M65?

It's arguable, and I see your point, but I also have a budget lol. I'm looking to spend in the ballpark of $1200, so a stretch would be the P65 (or what I would also consider is a UN65KS8000, if I could find one).
