Sharp LC-70LE640U

Stop gap TV between my failing 2007 Sammy 58" plasma and when I decide to take the 4K plunge (not quite there yet).

I can get this 70" LCD TV for $700 CAD. Seller says excellent condition.

Thoughts, please?

I never dreamed that I would have a Sharp branded tv.......

My thoughts is why spend that amount on a 5 year old tv and is still 1080P? Granted the next tv for most plasma users is the OLED tv however I would like to see this product to mature. I too have had only owned Plasma TV"s (Vizio and Samsung) and i no hurry either to buy 4K yet.

I have heard good things about this tv and have seen on youtube comparing this tv to a Sony XBR900E as far as PQ and holding up fairly well. This is currently on sale at BB for 599.00 USD. IF you going to spend any money why not new?

Good Luck in deciding.

My biggest concern with going with 4K is the fact that all of my content currently is 1080P resolution, so I require a set to be "superb" at upscaling or it is a waste of my time.
