i asked around the amazon forums & was told the only diff between the 250 & the 450 is the 250 has only 2 hdmi inputs & no usb while the 450 has 3 & usb & indeed is ntsc, not pal.
I just received this TV from Dell today. I can confirm that it has the FCC ID of the 60PV450 as it states in the back. It does have 3 (2 in the back + 1 side) HDMI inputs. It does NOT have USB. It does have an ATSC tuner (USA) and not DVB-T. Hope that helps. I did get the TV from Dell and was able to have them waive the shipping fee and used the Dell eGift card promo.
i looked up the owners manual online after i posted & saw that it does have one on the side etc. was going to go with that set but after almost $80 in tax that bumped the price up to almost what the 450 is so that's what i ordered yesterday from vann's. it'll be my first really "big" tv & i can hardly wait lol. also made a copy of blacknoir's expert isf settings so i can play with getting the picture the best. i'm excited!! 8^)

Dell small business is offering free shipping now. Combine the small business coupon XD8WLFNDV?7X4P (price after coupon is 799.99 - good till 12/31) with 2 prome e-cards (50 for each 300 purchased) and I got this for 699.00 shipped. Basically go onliine and order two seperate 300 gift cards. Combine both $300 gift cards into 1 $600 card on their site and when you call Dell tell them you have 3 gift cards to use - the 2 $50 promo cards and the $600 combined card. You will have to pay sales tax but this is an awesome deal. Took me about 15 minutes to do it.
So with the 1 gift card and 2 promo cards you would have to pay the balance with a credit card but I've been reading that they only take 3 types of payments. I guess that wasn't the case with you.
Three types, but not three pieces, if that makes sense. So he used the gift card, promo cards, and credit cards as his three types of payment, even though there were two promo cards. Confusing, isn't it? One reason why folks will skip dealing with Dell.
I have heard some people are having issues with using 1 gift card, 2 promo cards, and 1 credit card. What you could do is figure out how much tax is going to be (create an online cart to get the total) and then purchase enough gift cards to do the whole purchase with gift cards and promo cards. Sometimes you just need to get the right phone rep to push things through....
