Pauls TV has the 65GT30 for 1999 and 65 St 30 for $1699. Is the GT worth $300 more than the ST?????

Why the ST30? Since that hometheater review gave it favorable to the GT30?

Well everyhting I have read states that they are the exact same panel, the GT30 has thx mode. the St30 has an uglier frame, things that don't matter to me. I would rather spend the $300 on 3d glasses for the kids, now if you were talking an extra 5 inches of screen, I would gladly pay the extra money.

Kwaidonjin,

Thanks for the explanation. I also don't care what the frame looks like either. I care more about a descent picture, and size. I've pretty much convinced myself that I don't need to spend over $2000 for a TV since I am watching my 32" and 47" Vizio and the pictures are very satisfactory. I would rather just get a 60"-65" and I really also don't care about 3d.
But back to the topic at hand. I have been eyeing that TC-P60ST30 at Costco and am also going into the store since they carry different items from Costco.com.

Well got the 65ST30, the GT30 was an online price only. I got the 3 yrs interest free financing(Art Van). Just got it mounted and started running the Break-in slides. Massive compared to my 52" lcd from 2008.
