Amazon has it for $1874 free shipping and I would like to use their financing. Do you think that's a good price to buy at or do u think it might drop down in the next couple weeks?

Looks like you can get it directly from Amazon for $1698. I think the extra $12 is worth it for Amazon excellent customer service and price guarantee.

I finally pulled the trigger on this tv. I have looked on every website there is and the hardest part is finding an authorized dealer with a low price. I payed $1684 ($1825 shipped with tax and the stupid $10 E waste fee). Amazon (through Pauls TV) has the best price. They will price match an authorized seller only. Pauls tv site has a "closeout price" on them right when you go to their page but amazons is cheaper. Not sure how that works since it is through pauls tv.?.. Anyways, they will not budge on the price even a dollar and I even tried to get a cheap-o hdmi cable thrown in but they weren't having it. I have noticed that the price has been dropping on the weekends. At one point, it was down to $1654 but I wasn't fast enough to save the $30 or so dollars.
The word is that these will be out of stock soon so I just went for it. Beats paying nearly double for the st50s with only minor improvements. They also offer a 30 day price protection even if their own price falls. Also, if you can use an American express card, you get an additional 1 year warranty on it too. I worked with John and he was a pretty cool guy. The price jumped UP while I was placing my order so you have to keep an eye on it and act fast.

If you go through Paul's TV at Buy.com you can get this set for $1650 w/free shipping. They also give you something called "Super" points that are equal to $165 in Buy.com merchandise. Chase offers 5 extra points peer dollar if you click through their Ultimate Rewards Mall to Buy.com, good for another $82 cashback.
I was holding back on purchasing this TV unless I got an unbeatable deal on it-and at an effective price of $1403, this was too good to pass up.

I just checked this deal out. The webpage says 1650 superpoints is only 16.50. 1550 is still the best deal I've seen around, though.

You have to click on another link to "opt in" for the 10X super points. I'm about a month away from needing this tv but under $1500 is just TOO good to pass up so I will have to store it (maybe get the slides rolling). I'm also starting to worry this will someday soon dry up online. My local store wants $2300 PLUS tax.

Thanks for posting the price!

Yesterday it showed 16500 Super Points, it must have been a one day promotion.

65ST30 is on sale at FRY's for $1299 this is NOT a 1 day sale or even advertised. This is the price on the site you dont even have to add the item to you cart. I point this out because this should meet the requirements for price matches with Best Buy and maybe Amazon.

Wow!! Great Find. That is a great price. It definitely meets Amazon price matching policy except its not available for shipping. However, I think if it is available for store pick up locally then I think Amazon will still price match. I really hate missing out on all these Frys deals!

Exactly. I tried it and Amazon would not budge because I was not within reasonable distance to a Frys store. Also, even if you are within distance to a store they will check to see if it is in-stock at the specific store you are near and if it isn't they won't match. If you try "checking availability" on the Frys site you will see it is not in stock in a lot of stores -- none of the ones I sampled, but I only tried about 5. And they are only selling leftover inventory, floor samples and demo models in-store only.

It was a sweet deal. Just enough to make me bitter about the price I would have to pay.

If anyone has a clever way around this chime in. I thought of using the address of a friend in So Cal to buy it, but they check the in-store location against the actual shipping address not the billing address. And I called Frys national sales center and a few local stores to see if they would make an exception about shipping from a local story inventory and they all said no way.

It is currently $1650 on Amazon, I think that is a pretty good deal.

what is absolutely crazy is I had both models in my cart and the 65ST30 is actually $5 cheaper than the 60ST30 (on amazon at least) lol

Yeah, but a few major caveats.

1) In-store only. No shipping options. I called Fry's corporate and numerous local stores and none would budge.

2) It is left over inventory only, inclusive of demos and floor displays at the same price. I called 7 stores and 5 had no inventory, and 2 had floor samples. I am sure there are some stores with brand new in-the-box inventory for those lucky to be near them, but it's hit-and-miss.

3) Amazon will NOT price-match this unless you are within 20 miles of a store where they can verify current inventory. I tried this a bunch of ways with no luck. The price matching is a manual process and the people are trained to specifically look at your historic shipping address so they wouldn't go for changing it to make the order. I suppose if you have a friend living near one of the stores with inventory you could get them to order it for you then later try and change the delivery location, as long as you were okay with them having your credit card number or buying it and letting you pay them back, and if you didn't mind having to involve them again if you later decided to return it with the 30-day window, but I didn't bother with this.

Good luck.

Yeah I saw that tonight and momentarily got excited, but it's a bit of a trick because they charge $201 for shipping, so all they are really doing is matching the $1,579 price Amazon and Paul's TV has had for a couple days already. Still a great price, but nothing new and I'd rather get it from Amazon with free shipping and an iron clad 30-day return than from Electronics Expo.

Hey Everyone,

Just got off the phone with Amazon and they price match the $1364 price plus a $50 delivery fee. Total was $1414, not quite as good as the Fry's deal but i had no luck getting Amazon to Pricematch that deal. Worth a try for anyone looking to get the 65 ST30. Good Luck.

Who has $1,364 with a $50 delivery fee right now that they matched?

It was Expo Electronics. Looks like they pulled the vendor off though.

Not only that, but even if you go to the Electronics-Expo site they are not showing this price -- they have high $1,600's.

I last cheked their price around 1am Eastern time last night then again, figuring that's who you were referencing, at 10am this morning. So they must had the price down to that and reduced their shipping fee by 75% for only a few hours apparently.

Bummer.

^^^

Called Amazon Large Items and they still show the $1,364 price in their system even though it isn't live right now, so that part isn't a problem. But they insist they have no record of the shipping every being $50 and it still shows at $201 -- which is what comes up at Electronics-Expo directly as well. The agent put me only hold and called Electroncis-Expo directly and they insisted their shipping was always $201. So the closest they will match is $1,565, which is only $14 less than they have been selling it directly.

Bummer. You really hit a sweet spot on Electronics-Expo temporarily reducing their shipping costs and now denying it. Nice. You should go buy a lottery ticket today.
