Well,decided to purchase a PN64E8000,a few vendors who I have found to have great deals are

Vanns-$3297 free shipping and free white glove service with a 30 day satisfaction guaranteed return policy

US Appliance-$3298 free shipping,free extra year service warranty,30 day satisfaction guaranteed return policy

Value Electronics-$3299 plus tax being they are in NY(and im a NYS resident),no return policy

I like the whole fact of the return policy but rather have great customer service and support
Which would you AVSers buy from?????

The only one of the above that I've ever purchased from is Vann's, so I can only comment on them, but no problems whatsoever with any of my transactions with them.

I hear nothing but praise for VE reguarding customer service and satisfaction. However, I myself cannot spend money at a retailer who offers no return policy. It is much easier to return a set which is DOA, or fails prematurely, than to involve the manufacturers customer service.

Buying something this expensive with such a relatively high probability of defect WITHOUT a return policy is lunacy, IMO.

Calibration Equipment:

Meters: X-rite i1 Pro 2, X-rite i1 Display Pro

Id have to agree with you guys thus far,although I have spoke with Robert at VE and Randy at Vanns and both were extremely knowledgable and helpful and never felt rushed or forced to purchase one TV over another,but also agree that the return policy is the critical deal maker/breaker with possibilities of DOA or issues within the first 30 days of use,as ANY other TV and manufacterer applies to this theory,NOT just Samsung!

In my correspondence with Robert at VE, he indicated that they do have a return policy. He was very helpful and straight forward with me. Have you spoken with him directly?

I have purchased from both, and both transactions went smooth, but as for individual attention, and service, IMO, Value Electronics is tops.

IMO, take these prices to a local store and see if they will match. I bought my VT30 a year ago locally, for a lower price than I could get from any of those stores above. I have found that the chain stores like BB won't match online prices, but the smaller mom-and-pop stores may do so.

Yes,I have spoken with him directly and was very pleased with his service,for some reason I recall him stateting no return policy,I will have to give him a call back,as he also said he would deliver it himself as he is only 3 hrs away from me.

Well,my mistake,Spoke with Wendy(Roberts better half)at VE and they do have a 30 day return policy,They are great people to deal with and placed my order for the PN64E8000 and should have it by mid next week!
