I tell everyone I sell that TV to get it calibrated for free after you become Rewardzone Silver 30 days after purchase.

Uhh, I have no idea. My brother-in-law and I use the same reward account, so must be from that??? He is Silver.

Yeah, free calibration for silver members. Silver means you've spend $2500 in a calendar year

Those who were successful in getting best buy to price match EE, WHERE DO YOU LIVE RELATIVE TO ELECTRONICS-EXPO? Within an hour? A few hours away? More than 5 hours? I'm just wondering if i would be able to do the match here when EE is 20 hours away. Also, what about the shipping charge? EE charges over $200 to ship to my area so does best buy consider that into their price match? Also, i can't get EEs price up on their site. Keeps saying log-in and add to cart to see price. I log in and only on the vt50 page it keeps showing me logged out, so i cant add it to cart.

I am waiting for the right deal to come up and am wanting to get Amazon or Best Buy to price match. I have a Chase Freedom credit card that gets different rewards each quarter and I just realized that for Oct-Dec that you get 5% cashback on purchases at Best Buy. I thought I would throw this out there in case any of you guys have a Chase Freedom card. So, I think I am going to try and hold off on purchasing until October unless a really good deal comes up beforehand which it doesn't seem like is going to happen.

Chase 5% is nice if you can pay it off by next month's due date to avoid interest charges.

If you can't, but have a BB credit card with a sufficient limit, you can put the tv on the 3-yr no interest plan.

Whichever makes more financial sense for you.

Not really what I was getting at. It seems that stores can't keep them in stock so obviously there are plenty of people buying them. I would think Panasonic would at least bump up supply to meet demand.

Cleveland Plasma has the unit for $2,850 shipped. Get the Squaretrade warranty through Costco for an extra $100 and it comes out to $2,950 for the P65VT50 with 4 years of coverage, including shipping.

Hard to beat that.

You have to be a Costco member right? How much is that? I am not a member so I am wondering if their Squaretrade offer is much cheaper then just buying somewhere else if I would have to purchase a membership as well.

Yes i believe you do, but even with the added $50, it pretty much beats any warranty at $150.

Plus you get a costco membership for a year.

I believe someone said you could purchase it online from Costco for $5 more than members pay, you don't need to purchase a membership.

Panasonic implied earlier this year that they were not going to make as many units and get stuck with an oversupply like last year.

this. I just bought the Costco/Squaretrade $99.99 warranty for my Amazon-purchased VT50 a couple days ago for $99.99. They charged me a $5 non-member surcharge. well worth it imo.

Wow awesome. Can you get it for different lengths of time or how long is your Squaretrade warranty? How much would the warranty be directly from Squaretrade? I am just wondering how awesome this Costco deal is that everyone keeps talking about.

Do you have to call in for that price? Online from Cleveland, it's showing $2900 + $100 shipping.

And i'm still wondering if people are successfully getting non magnolia best buys to price match east coast tvs when they are 1,000+ miles away from east coast tv store? I have a feeling this will be best answered on my own, but i'm hoping someone can chime.

Kind of hoping on sunday sears.com will have a decent sale price on the vt50. There's a secret members event where members of the rewards program (free to join) get an extra 5% off and it is stackable with the 5% sears card offer and my associate discount, so hopefully i can snag a good deal then. The computer is not showing a sale price in the stores, but .com has different pricing at times, so i'm praying it hits $3299.99 on sale so all the discounts i get and tax will put it right at the price i want.

I'm having a hard time finding them in stock anywhere for anything less than full MSRP. I see one happy customer from Paul's TV on here... any others? The reviews I read say don't bother with their Professional Delivery or Warranty services.

Paul's TV is advertising full MSRP price, the guy I spoke with on online chat said they had a price so good for me that they'll have to call me with it tomorrow, lol. Sounds cheezy but they have peaked my interest!

Looks like they just about hit their lowest around this time and then went up and down for a couple months. Varies on the model though.

A cooworker gave me the friends and family discount connection directly through Panasonic. I remember it being 2700, plus tax with free delivery and they have it in stock. I'm not even going to waste my money on an extended warranty on a plasma. If there are no dead pixels when they plug it in, I'll be fine. I'm still having a hard time trying to decide between this and the Elite. Every time I compare the two I see so much more detail in dark areas on the Elite. On the VT, the really dark area are just too black. The plasma screen doesn't help it either in the day time...this one's a tough call.

BuyTVToday.com has the 65VT50 for $2749 delivered. They are part of World Wide Electronics LLC ( supposedly an authorized Panasonic dealer for consumer and professional Panasonic products).
